Afterpay On‑Site Messaging

At first I thought the app wasn't working when trying to add the widget under my price, but I just had to click 'save' first on the shopify theme editor and then it appeared. Hopefully this helps others!

I'm in Canada so maybe it works here? Not sure why people are having issues with the app. It's extremely basic but I was able to add it under my price on product pages to show customers they can pay in installments and also as a payment badge icon at the footer of our site. I wasn't able to add it to my cart page but maybe it's something to do with another app we're using. I'm not a developer, I'm a just 1 woman running her own business and wearing all the hats, so this was very user friendly and quick to apply.
Either way, it seems to work and shows up where I need it. Also make sure you're registered with Afterpay and can accept payments with them before downloading this app, otherwise I believe it would be useless. Good luck!

App worked exactly as described and was incredibly easy to install. I suspect all negative reviews are about other issues with AfterPay rather than this application specifically.

Driving myself absolutely crazy with Afterpay. This app is just not it. Afterpay messaging doesn't change with variant products. When I ask Afterpay for help, they tell me to get a web developer to code the system correctly. The directions on their website merchant page won't even allow the code to be inputted, the directions of what to change are just simply unhelpful. I am so disappointed. I added afterpay to my website 6 years ago and it was such a simple process. Now it is a nightmare, with no help.

Seems to work fine, easy to follow instructions and managed to get messaging on each page, cart and footer. I did get an error message on first installing the ap but then went back and say it was in my ap list and from there no issues

No, not yet - this one is undercooked and not ready. Support via the website is also full of bots who just want to ask you for your ID instead of fixing a problem.
Awaiting a msg from the Dev team via support in Shopify.
Either they get it right or customers won't use them as a preference.

The Afterpay on-site messaging app doesn't work and the block is invisible so we had to get our developer to add a custom liquid code under the price block for it to finally show on the site. Make sure you add the custom liquid in the correct market you signed up for (i.e. US, CA etc) otherwise it will not work.

One advice is to ensure your default currency and primary market match the account you applied for.

Since we're based in Canada and the majority of our customers are from the United States, we set our default currency to USD and had to apply and get approved for a US merchant account, installed the Afterpay US (NEW) app and utilize our credentials for the US account.

If you have separate US and CA Afterpay Merchant accounts, you must have separate Shopify stores to activate Afterpay using each merchant credentials. If you do not have separate stores and is utilizing Shopify's Market feature, it will not work.

This app does exactly what it promises — no fluff. The setup was super straightforward with clear instructions, and it seamlessly added Afterpay messaging to both our product and cart pages. It now clearly shows customers they can shop with Afterpay, which helps drive conversions. Highly recommend for any store offering Afterpay!

The messaging is just that, a message, it shows customers on the product page and the checkout page that its available, the after pay button turns up after they click checkout on my shopify store. If you click on the green messaging button it just gives the shopper the run down, it doesn't take them to pay via after pay. So i followed the video and it showed up straight away. The reviews really freaked me out I didn't know what was going on!
It works anyway so nothing to complain about from me..

Straight up doesn't work.

The app block does not load at all and just stays empty/blank.
Support will tell you to refer to the extremely basic installation instructions, which obviously wouldn't help if the app itself does not function at all.
