Wat een fantastische app.
Het werkt gewoon zoals het moet werken en het is snel. Het is even kijken hoe alles werkt.
Fantastic tool backed by an even better support team.
I've been using Altera for a catalog restructuring project (splitting and relinking product options to metaobjects across hundreds of products).
The app itself handles bulk operations that would otherwise take forever manually.
What really stood out was the support. I ran into a limitation (converting a linked option from one metaobject type to another wasn't supported yet), reached out, and Daniel personally looked into it and shipped the feature the very same day. That kind of responsiveness is rare, and it made a real difference for my project.
Highly recommend if you're doing any data management on Shopify.
The app does what it promises, but it's disappointing that merchants have to pay an extra $15 for functionality that Shopify itself should provide out of the box. Exporting store data is a basic administrative feature and shouldn't require a paid third-party app.
I appreciate the feedback and I do agree that basic CSV exports are something Shopify should be better at.
One of our goals with Altera was to provide this import/export functionality while keeping the pricing simple and predictable. At a flat $15/month with no usage tiers, it comes in well below what some other import/export apps charge.
Our other goal is to build a powerful tool that covers more than just the basics. This includes supporting things like metafield definitions, migrations from WooCommerce or Magento, and an MCP server for AI agents.
I'm happy that the app worked for you but I do understand your frustrations. If you ever need anything, just reach out to us at support@getaltera.com and we'll be glad to help.
J'apprécie vraiment cette app, très utile et rapide. C'est un must à mon avis lorsque l'on construit nos produits
Allows download and upload of data via command line and therefore automation. Great app!
(it would be nice to see the filename of the Job, and a copy job function to ease transfer from Dev to Live, but that is just me being picky)
We're glad the CLI was useful for transferring data between Shopify stores. We'll reach out by email to get some more details on the filename/copy job function and see what we can do.
Thank you for the review!
The support for Altera is excellent. I have contacted support via the live chat feature a couple of times and have received a prompt response / resolution within minutes each time.
Excellent app - very pleased with functionality and support. It is simple, yet very powerful and well-designed.

good app and great support! staff is very helpful
helpful customer service
Literally the best app on this plattform. Yes, other apps boost conversions and do other e-commerce buzzword things but this... this is the holy grail of Shopify
