Absolutely discusting, been using the paid service for a while, when i most need it i get constent errors on a restore. "Restore job failed on 2026-10-18 (3 minutes ago). This should not happen. Write us! help@taloncommerce.com or via the help section." No online HELP just need to wait a day ot two for a RESPONCE to Restore my data. I have 7 of these Failed RESTORED when I most need their support and NO SUPPORT AVAILABLE.
We responded a half an hour after your first chat message was sent to us today. We resolved the issue 2 hours after that.
The issue your ran into in restoration did cause a few hours of delay in your process while i investigated and implemented a solution. I'm sorry for that. Rarely, a restoration can fail, though the data is always safe. In those cases, I rush to fix the issue as I did today so that the records can indeed be restored in a timely manner.
We received no emails from you - nothing from your domain, your name, or your email address. I double checked our spam folder and saw nothing from you. I'm not sure how we did not receive your email. Could you please double check that your email did not typo our domain?
There is no way we would wait 2 days to respond to a restoration failure. I personally jump whenever something like that occurs because I'm aware of how reliable backups need to be.
I take backups seriously because I know they're important and restorations must be timely.
So far, I am extremely impressed with how fast and functional this app is. I tested it by deleting a few random products and blog posts to see if it would pick up on the changes, and it immediately logged exactly what happened. With all the freelancers, employees, and third-party apps interacting with Shopify stores nowadays, you really need to protect yourself with 'insurance' like this. While I practice safe habits and haven't had a major emergency yet, having this app gives me incredible peace of mind. I hope I never truly need to use it, but I'm glad it's there.

It's true that the software world seems a little less stable than it used to be. I'm glad I can be here as a backstop.
Anyway, I really appreciate you taking the time to write this and your trust in my app. I don't get a lot of reviews so it's a big deal for me when I see that notification.

Edit. July 26. Saved my life again after Sidekick made changes to my product pages with unintended consequences. Reverting to a backup theme no use in that situation but Talon was there for me:-)
I have always been nervous about the fact that Shopify does not do a backup of the store, or at least not one that can be accessed by the owner in the event of anything going wrong. Some of the apps that do this are quite costly for a small store, also with some of them you have no idea whether they have worked until you find you have to do a restore. What I like about this app is that you can see any part of your store, be it blog posts or products or whatever and restore at the click of a button. So, it's not just a handy app to have should disaster strike but also allows you to reinstall a previous version of sections if you have been editing them etc.
Any app is only as good as its support and I'm happy to say the support here is excellent. Michael was delving into a problem for me as soon as I notified him of it and in the end discovered that it was a fault with Shopify and not the website.
I highly recommend this app for anyone who wants peace of mind.

It can be difficult to know exactly what other apps actually do to your shop - where they modify things. One of my goals with the app is to make that apparent through increased visibility here.

I can't express how perfect this App is for Backups. The UI is great, its super simple to use and setup, gives a comparison of previous backups and current backups in a GitHub like compare, and its very affordable. As our store grows and more users are making changes, the peace of mind having backups in the event of mistakes is a must have. Get this insurance... great job with this!
Very cool app. I've always had a small level of anxiety about accidentally deleting my product catalogue or theme. This app relieves that. Nice job!
I have not had to restore yet, but the auto backups are a great feature that help me sleep at night when making large product changes. So far so good!
