Highly recommend Blockify and Blockify Checkout! I needed a country and specific user blocked for fraud. These two apps did it! I needed some help from customer service and Ben was amazing. He asked great questions, got to the issue quickly and fixed the Rules set-up for me in minutes. The Ben recommended the Blockify Checkout app to make sure the specific user couldn't complete the transaction by name. Wonderful -- Thank you Blockify and Ben!
Thank you so much for this amazing and detailed review! 😊
We’re thrilled to hear that Blockify: IP & Country Blocker app and Blockify Checkout app helped you successfully block both a country and a specific user to prevent fraud. It’s great to know that Ben could step in, ask the right questions, quickly identify the issue, and fine-tune the rules for you in just minutes 💪🔒
We’re also glad the recommendation to use Blockify Checkout app gave you extra peace of mind by preventing that user from completing transactions by name. Your trust and recommendation truly mean a lot to us.

Easy to use and does exactly what you need. Even though the app is only in English, you can quickly and easily grasp the functions. The possibilities are numerous and can be customized to your own preferences. Support is quick to reach and straightforward.

Works great blocking content for bots on your website by overlaying a template that the website is blocked. What people should realize though is that sessions are still recorded in your analytics so you still need to filter those out manually. Not something Blockify can do anything about. That is Shopify policy.
😊 Thank you so much for sharing such a clear and informative review! We’re really glad to hear that Blockify Fraud Filter, Blocker app is working well for blocking bot traffic by displaying a blocked overlay on your website 💛 You’re absolutely right to point out that sessions may still appear in analytics due to Shopify’s tracking policy, and we truly appreciate you clarifying this for other merchants as well. Your understanding and transparency mean a lot to us, and we’ll keep focusing on what we can do best — protecting your store and providing reliable, honest support. Thanks again for choosing Blockify! 🚀
Works extremely well for small business
Thank you so much for your kind feedback on Blockify Fraud Filter, Blocker app 😊 We're really happy to hear the app is working extremely well for your small business. Supporting merchants with reliable protection and an easy-to-use experience is exactly what we strive for every day. We truly appreciate your support 🚀💙
One star. I engaged with two support agents, Lina and later Florence. Lina stopped responding for extended periods, resulting in a chat that lasted nearly an hour solely because of prolonged response times. The issue itself was not complex, but the lack of timely communication made it impossible to proceed. By the time Florence intervened, I was already preparing to exit due to the delays.
Lina made several statements that were incorrect, contradictory, and misleading. She stated that the bots “won’t hurt anything,” despite the fact that they were actively affecting my analytics and abandoned checkout data. She also stated that “blocking is not foolproof” and the app may or may not work because bots can change their IP addresses. This directly undermines the fundamental purpose of a security and bot-prevention solution. Her claim that the free plan is primarily for “exploring” features rather than actually using them contradicts the way the app is marketed and creates a misleading expectation for new users.
Florence later reiterated the same limitations and added that DNS-level blocking, a critical security function, is still “in testing” and not available. This indicates that essential protection mechanisms are incomplete or not fully operational, regardless of whether a merchant is on a free or paid plan. For a security-focused app, this represents a significant reliability concern.
After uninstalling the app, I immediately received back-to-back emails from Florence containing shifting explanations. Additionally, within thirty minutes of the initial installation, I was already receiving promotional emails from Blockify. The frequency, timing, and volume of these emails felt excessive and spam-like.
As a small business owner, this experience was profoundly disappointing. Security tools must be dependable, transparent, and functional upon installation. Hearing directly from support that the app is “not foolproof” and may or may not work—even on paid tiers—raises serious concerns about reliability, consistency, and product readiness. Anything less than stable, predictable performance becomes a costly waste of time and resources.
I strongly encourage prospective users to review the one-star feedback as well as comments from long-term users who have relied on this app for over a year. The recurring themes in those reviews reflect the same support, performance, and reliability issues I encountered.
Hi there,
Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review, and we are truly sorry for the frustrating experience you had with both our app and our support.
You are absolutely right that the long response times, inconsistent answers, and unclear explanation about bots and blocking are not acceptable for a security-focused app. Your comment about DNS-level blocking still being in testing and the email frequency feeling spam-like also shows we did not set expectations or our communication correctly.
We have already escalated this case to our product and support leads to review your entire journey, retrain our team on clearer, more accurate messaging, and adjust our features and email flows so they better match what merchants expect from Blockify. Our product manager has reached out personally to share more details and provide a proper solution on your concern. I hope you can get back to us so that we can make things right.
Thank you again for sharing feedback so that we can improve and we do hope to have another chance to serve you.
Best regards,
Kaylee - Customer Support Team Lead at Blockify
Great, fast service. App does what it says, and is easy to operate, support CSR's are happy to help if setup is confusing.
As an aside, this app will not prevent the visitors from showing up in your shopify admin analytics, but, it does prevent them from accessing the site - so, it will block their visits with a loading page, or unavailable page. That is good enough for me, and the app works great thus far!
Thank you Blockify!
Thank you for the thoughtful review! We’re glad to hear the app is working well for you and that our support team was able to help. And thanks for noting the analytics behavior, your clarity will help others too. We appreciate you choosing Blockify!
A great App for your Shopify store. It includes Blocking by region or country, as well as a wide range of other things. The biggest surprise was how detailed their analytics were! I was able to see each visitor that was allowed into the store, blocked, each order's info was now also showing analytics to help protect our store. Appreciate the team's super quick responses as well!
Thank you so much for your amazing review! 🌟 We’re thrilled to hear that the app has been a great fit for your Shopify store and that you’re finding value in the wide range of blocking options.
It’s especially great to know that the detailed analytics have been useful in understanding visitor activity and protecting your store that’s exactly what we built them for! 😊
And thank you for the kind words about our support team; we’re always happy to help and glad you felt the quick response. If you ever need anything else, we’re here for you! 🙌✨
