I was looking for a simple way to reply to my blog comments, as Shopify doesn’t offer this natively. I am truly satisfied with this app, it does exactly what it promises with a beautiful, minimalist design that can fit perfectly with every boutique! The customization options for colors are great, and there is also a possibility to enable comment moderation.
I would like to thank the developer: I reached out because my shop is in French, and he was incredibly reactive, adding a translation feature almost immediately. It’s rare to find such dedicated support.
I highly recommend this app!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this kind review! It was an absolute pleasure working with you, and when you first reached out about the French translation, I just thought — yeah, of course, let's make it work! And knowing that it makes a real difference for your shop means everything.
So thank you, truly. Reviews like this remind me why I love what I do. Wishing your shop nothing but success and my door is always open if you even need anything!
Adds threading to blog post comments, but lacks features beyond that. Not bad for a free app and a good start. Happy to increase my rating if features improve.
Pros:
Nice clean design. Commenters simply put in name, email, comment text.
Able to customize the block's colors in the theme editor.
Cons:
Doesn't send commenters notifications when someone else replies.
No upvoting, images, or hyperlinks.
Only works for blog posts, not pages or products.
No import or export of comments.
Thanks again for the thoughtful review. Feedback like this is what guides the roadmap.
One update since you wrote this: reply notifications have been added, so commenters now get notified when someone responds (on the premium plan).
A few of the other notes are intentional by design. BlogConnect is built specifically and intentionally for blogs, and hyperlinks are left out on purpose to keep threads clear of spam.
If you try the updated version, please get back in touch with any more feedback!
Thanks so much for the 5 stars! So glad BlogConnect is working well for your store. If you ever have questions or ideas for new features, reach out anytime.
