Come on, Bookvault. Get your act together - look at the reviews here. Like others, when I click 'add to Bookvault' on the product page, I can't log in to the Bookvault portal at the next step. Cookies cleared, in a separate browser, in an entirely different browser - doesn't matter. I've come to think that the only way to get through is to struggle for 45 minutes. I'm a busy mum with small children, I don't have 45 minutes to waste crossing my fingers and hoping a plugin will do its job. Can Bookvault give any reassurance that they are working to fix this, or are we all going to Lulu? I would think, considering reviews date from months ago, that they don't intend to fix it. I will also add that Bookvault's site is glitchy. Particularly the barcode aspects of the file upload. I'm sure Bookvault wants this to run smoothly, but there are a few things that need attention. Very frustrating in its current state.

Feedback like yours is why we’ve just launched a completely rebuilt Bookvault app. Everything now happens inside your Shopify admin: you sign in and link your products right there, with no redirect to the portal and no login loop. Please give it a try, and if anything gets in your way, email customers@bookvault.app and we’ll get straight on it! We’re also looking into the barcode/upload issues you mentioned. Cannot get this to work. It is installed, but when I click "open" it navigates me out of Shopify and into BookVault with no way to connect the two. The BookVault tutorials do not show it happening this way.
Hi, sorry for the confusion. That was how our old app worked, sending you out to the Bookvault portal, and we know it wasn’t clear how to connect the two. We’ve just launched a rebuilt app that opens right inside your Shopify admin. You sign in or create your Bookvault account there and link your products on the same screen. Please try opening it again, and if anything gets in your way, email customers@bookvault.app and we’ll get it sorted ASAP!
So glitchy and not working all the titles say sold out and it won't let me unlink the store on the bookvault end it's a nightmare
Thanks for the honest feedback, and sorry for the frustration at the time. Reviews like this shaped our rebuilt Bookvault app. It now runs inside your Shopify admin, where you can see exactly how each product is linked, which locations it ships from, and unlink anything from the same screen hopefully making the process much simpler and easy to use!
Bookvault USED to work great. No longer does. If you create paperbacks as variants of ebooks, the app will not let you connect the paperback to the Bookvault store. It used to allow this. I have over 200 books where this procedure worked correctly. I've been in contact with Bookvault about this and NONE of their work arounds helped. I'm going to have to switch to Lulu in order to sell my paperback books from my store.
It's very meh. When it works, it's great. But more often than not when I try to link the paperback on my store to the book on Bookvault it doesn't work. It just glitches when I'm trying to sign in. And yes, I cleared my cookies, tried a new browser etc, and it still only seems to work when the planets are all aligned and no black cat crosses my path that day. The lack of consistency is truly frustrating.
An amazing app, that takes all the hassle out of printing books. Shipping and printing is automatically handled for you, and it's super simple to connect to your Bookvault library.
I'm very happy with BookVault. It's easy to use, and they have a wonderful range of formats including 5x8 (which is not offered by Lulu Direct). Their support is first-rate.
I've been testing Bookvault for 5 months now and am shifting all my production here. The Shopify integration works well as you'd expect. Support from Bookvault is outstanding – they've even setup Zoom and Teams call with us to clarify different aspects of the integration. Wholeheartedly recommend.
