Data Export IO: Report

Für unsere Buchhaltung benötigten wir einen Bericht/Tool, womit alle Zahlungseingänge der unterschiedlichen Zahlungsanbieter, Rücksendungen und Auszahlungen zusammengeführt werden. Nach einiger Recherche sind wir bei Data-Export gelandet und wir sind hochauf zufrieden. Das positive daran ist, dass man jegliche Art von Berichten erstellen kann, die man benötigt - weit über die Auswertungen von Shopify hinaus.

Darüber hinaus ist der Kundensupport unschlagbar. Für unsere Auswertungen habe ich ganz spezielle Berichte benötigt, die ich mir selbst nicht erstellen konnte. Nach kurzer Rücksprache mit dem Kundensupport hat sich ein Programmierer bei mir per Email gemeldet. Ihm habe ich mein Problem geschildert und nach einigem hin und her mit meinen Anforderung wurde uns der richtige Bericht erstellt. Dies hat uns einiges an Arbeit abgenommen und erleichtert unsere weiteren Auswerten ungemein.

Excellent App for Shopify with a stellar support team!!! I can't thank Data Export's Team enough for all of the support they have provided us and for finally giving us the ability to get the reports that we need! We've had a very difficult time pulling reports from Shopify that provide the data and level of detail that we need. I have personally trialed many third party Shopify Apps that provide a similar function as Data Export. However, until we found Data Export, no other application has been able to provide the type of reports and the details that we need. Data Export offers a variety of pre-created Reports. In addition, we are able to create customized reports. And with their recent update, we can now drill down even more before generating the report. I like how I can see the data on the report, as well as the organization of it, before the report is downloaded. This helps with fine tuning and sorting the report. Hands down, BEST Reporting App we have used to date. Keep it up Data Export!

**UPDATE** this WAS a great app with amazing support, but like all good apps -- with time they seem to have dropped the amazing support piece. I needed a report fixed during the most critical time for an online store (early december) and they ignored all messages for TWO WEEKS (and told me it was their Thanksgiving break). I finally got a hold of them and they said they would update it by the following day -- but they didn't update it, and then they had an auto response that they were gone for the weekend. This experience has been so stressful and I'll be looking to replace this app. Thought I should leave my update here so others don't fall into the trap of all the good reviews from earlier times (I was one of them!)
This app does exactly what it says it will, and the customer service is second to none. You can live chat to have a report adjusted or created in real time, so far they've always been available. I HATE when apps have live chat support but are never actually there to support -- its made a huge difference for us and I really encourage the use of this app.

This is an incredibly sophisticated Data Export App just miles ahead of anything else I tested. We have used it to build a complex Commission Calculator using a number of rigidly defined rules all driven by Sales from the Shopify POS.
It's quite daunting to use oneself (due to the fact it can do so much) but support has been incredible. I defined what we required and the Team have created the data report for us, programming various conditions to make the calculations work depending on Order Tags, Staff ID, Payment Status etc.. I didn't expect the level of service I've received or grasp how smart the App really is.
I'd say there is almost nothing that cannot be exported from your Shopify Store using this App. Not only that, the App can be used to make conditional calculations on your data too.
It's insanely good value for money when I consider what other developers would charge for this work.
If you need some serious business data that goes way beyond what you can do with inbuilt Shopify reports or other Apps definitely give this a go.
I feel like I'm giving away a best kept secret.. this really is amazing!!

The more I get to play with this app
The more I like it Yes, it was a bit of a learning curve
And a little overwhelming at first Definitely a learning curve
It's not a "dummy" app like too many try to be I had to re do every report I made at least 5 times
( part of the learning process )
Mostly because I kept playing and figuring out what I did wrong
And what else the app can do Heck, just figured out last night that it can pull data back from the beginning of time ( since we started with shopify )
Shopify data only goes back 90 days - what the hell good is that? This has become one of the best apps we have
The boss ( wife ) is very VERY detail oriented
And likes data and history and numbers Yes it did take us a while to figure out what reports we want and how to build them ...bla bla bla....
But now...
This app now saves her 20 - 30 hours a month in report
And we can set it to automatically email them when we want
Month end reports - DONE!! The more I use it, the more I WANT to use it and get the data I need.
Now I am using it for sales history per item - PER VARIANT - to help me ordering product.

STRONG B2B TOOL!
Shopify native is a very strong B2C system but when you are a B2B company like I am, it’s very hard to find the right tools (let’s call that patches) for all the missing features in the native Shopify system.
Over time, I found 2 very important APPS to help me. DATE EXPORT REPORTS by Estore Automate is the very latest one I discovered and MAMAMIA!!! I reached heaven!
Running automated sales/inventory/etc. reports with ONLY the right information you need, and with columns in the right order is so much important, I’m saving so much time now.
An Excel file is powerful but when the APP does put $ inside the cells… it’s not going to work. DATE EXPORT REPORTS by Estore Automate does understand this kind of details, the file is a weapon, ready for any kind of calculation.
The big plan $20/month will give you the option to add custom fields!!! OMG! I now have monthly generated (and automatically sent by email to each of them) specific sales reports to calculate my sales agent’s commissions, specific for each of the territories! A task that was taking me 30 min per report in the past.
I am based in Quebec Province, Canada. The support team no matter based in India gives me answers anytime I’m asking them a quick question. Amazing service. DATE EXPORT REPORTS by Estore Automate is definitely a super powerful tool and a MUST to have.

Best value for money. Other reports apps are so expensive especially when you have multiple websites. Let's be clear, shopify basic stats feature is already amazing buy if you need to export data for your accountant with, ie, payment gateways or exc. VAT amount, you won't have the choice to go with this kind of app. The interface is quiet easy to understand and creating your own report pretty simple with a clear UI to pick the stats you want (you have categories to help you find what you need). Drag and Drop to organise the column of you excel file is cool too, and you can even rename them in the interface. I like the easy to understand feature to schedule and the fact you can send in CSV or EXCEL format + by email, FTP etc. If you pay a little extra to access to the premium version you can even customise /add logic/calculation like in excel but directly in the interface which will avoid you to have to work on your excel file once generated (= fully automatic) The support is also very good and trust me, just tell them what you desire and they will build your first reports. Then, by looking how they did, you can easily build your own reports. This app will follow your needs with endless features. Today we have just customised two reports but we know that if our needs evolve, we already have the tool without paying any extra. Trust me, one of the best reporting app if you feel stuck with shopify reports.

We are also using this app on our 2nd website (Medium Plan only). Below my original review for our main website (Large Plan) ---------------------------------------- Best value for money. Excellent Customer Service. Ability to modify and organize data that Shopify maintains (even stuff you can't see in analytics/reporting). These folks have been responsive to my needs and assisted in building my perfect report.

PayPal is a payment option on our site. I needed to itemize our sales based on 'location' and 'product' type. I struggled to find common ground between PayPal payout reports, Shopify payout reports and Shopify Analytics/Reporting.

The challenges were:
1. Shopify Finance Analytics reports include all purchases (we take PayPal too) while their Sales Analytics include only Shopify sales, omitting PayPal data.

2. Shopify payout time of day (5pm for us) does not line up with PayPal (midnight), not allowing orders from PayPal to be included in payouts data from Shopify after 5pm. If someone placed an order and paid with PayPal after 5pm on the day of a Shopify payout, that order would not be included in the payout. It was included in PayPal's payout reporting as well as the subsequent Shopify payout. Extra work to reconcile the two (three).

Shopify is unable to change our payout time of day to coincide with our time zone (Pacific). So, I was left to either track and subtract the latent PayPal orders between 5pm-12pm and use Shopify Finance Reporting, OR deduct PayPal orders from the Sales Reporting. I figured this out and could limp along with a bunch of extra time spent and opportunity for error.

Then I discovered this app. For 5 bucks a month, I need 4 reports. $1.25 per report is saving me a ton of time headache. Whoop! Love it.

The only negatives I find are related to time. It takes a while for a report to be created and delivered by email. It took a day or two for turn around from Data Export when they were assisting with report creation.

However, their assistance with report creation brought in components of the app that were only available otherwise at a higher per month charge. My rate stayed the same.

Super helpful app. I use it to double check product setup and to make sure our finances tie out. Great customer service!
