Discounty: Bulk Discount Sales

Excellent app and outstanding customer support!
Discounty was very easy to set up and works perfectly for our quantity discounts. What impressed me the most was the customer service. Nilou personally reviewed our campaign, customized the quantity discount widget to better match our store, and even helped us fix a desktop cart display issue that wasn't caused by Discounty.
She was extremely helpful, friendly, responsive, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was working correctly. The whole experience was excellent.

Very kind customer service, and responds very quickly. The app is the best we've used so far for automated discounts that actually shows the discount at your product pricing. No codes, just scheduled discounts, awesome! Love the countdown timer option <3

We noticed that our discount code was not working in our cart at check out. With the help of Harry from Discounty, we discovered that the automatic discount segment was deactivated on our backend. He instructed us to keep that active at all times, and we were good to go!

Harry also fixed the plugin so our tiered discounts were visible on our product pages.

A COMPLETELY USELESS APP!

It is honestly hard to understand how this app has received so many 5-star reviews.

For anyone considering installing Discounty, I’m sharing my actual conversation with their support team below.

My message to Sarah:

Hi Sarah! I created a 25% off Bulk Price Editor campaign for my entire store. The campaign shows as Active and says 207 discounted variants, but the discounted prices are not showing on my storefront. The product pages still display the original prices. Could you please check why the price changes haven't been applied?

Yes, I am using fixed prices for my market. However, I don't understand why this should prevent Discounty from doing what I subscribed to it for.

I subscribed to Discounty specifically to apply a 25% price reduction to my existing store prices. Your system allowed me to create the campaign, shows it as Active, and currently reports 207 active discounted variants — yet the prices customers see on my storefront have not changed at all.

I don't want to manually change hundreds of product prices. That is exactly why I subscribed to a bulk price editor.

Please tell me how Discounty can apply the 25% reduction to my existing fixed prices, or what exact setting needs to be changed for this to work.

So, before replying to “Harry” — or was it “Sarah”? — perhaps you should wait for Meloni to answer first. :)

Half-baked software – Wasted hours with support

I installed and used this app for 3 days. My verdict: the software is completely half-baked. I only created 2 fairly simple campaigns, and in both cases, I had to spend hours chatting with support just to get basic features to work. Even the most fundamental elements (like proper text display) had to be manually fixed by their team for my store. For commercial, paid software, this is an absolute dealbreaker. Ultimately, I decided not to keep the app and uninstalled it. A complete waste of time!

To top it off, here is a direct quote from one of their support reps in the chat:

“You shouldn't have had to fix the app yourself, repeatedly test its behavior, or watch us manually adjust the widget positioning to make the campaign display correctly. I understand why this gives the impression of an unprofessional process and makes you feel like the app isn't fully ready for use.”

Great app with useful features. I had an issue with the progress/shopping bar, but the support team fixed it quickly. Excellent customer support. The app would be even better if these bugs were resolved before release.

We run a jewellery store on the Prestige theme and needed a buy-one-get-one-half-price campaign that didn't look like a discount app had been bolted onto the site.

Discounty handled the mechanics without issue, we tested a quantity discount first, then switched the whole thing to Buy X Get Y late in the process, and rebuilding took minutes. The excludes, scheduling and combination settings are all where you'd expect them.

What actually stood out was support. Aaron and Dela both replied within minutes, on a weekend, and took on custom CSS to match the widgets to our theme rather than telling us it wasn't possible. Dela flagged a problem with our setup before we'd noticed it ourselves. That's rare.

Straightforward to configure, genuinely flexible, and the people behind it are quick and competent.
