Apps works well but there is no mention of any limitations (optimisations and uploads) that require a paid subscription/fee. The app is marketed as free.
Update: I have contacted support and limits were increased to support a larger store which is much appreciated.
Thank you for the feedback, and sorry the limits weren’t clear upfront.
There is no “Upgrade to Pro” anywhere in Fileora — we have never added one. No subscription, no paywall, no fee. The app is fully free.
Two caps exist and we raise both free: Backup Storage (100 MB), which keeps originals so you can restore them, and AI alt text, which we pay for ourselves.
We increase the limit for anyone who genuinely needs it and tells us — that’s exactly why the app shows a popup asking you to message us when a limit runs out:

We’d appreciate you reconsidering your rating.
A very good file organizer for everything uploaded to my Shopify store. I have been able to organize my files in nested folders based on brand name and variant title. My only real issue is that the folder list is in a narrow window of the dashboard requiring a lot of scrolling. It would be much better to see this on a separate full screen for easier navigation and file movement. I have not tried the file optimizer yet, so I will not comment. My main concern before I try it will be loss of image quality to achieve compression. There are settings to allow me to control this, but I have yet tried this. I am less impressed with the Alt Text optimizer. It's not really much of an optimizer; there is no AI evaluation of the image to recommend Alt Text. All the optimizer appears to do is take the filename and make it the alt text. That would be ok if all filenames had adequately descriptive names, but most do not. I look forward to continued enhancement.
Thanks for the detailed review! We're glad the nested folders are working well for you. We've noted your request for a full-screen folder view and AI-generated alt text. When you try compression, Fileora keeps a backup of every original, so you can restore any image you're not happy with. Reach out anytime if you need help.

We have been not deleting the product images after they are sold since we started our website. This app takes care of that, showing unused media on a list that has no product references which makes deleting these a breeze. There are more useful tools embeded, all work fine with a good user experience.
Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We are thrilled to hear that the app has made cleaning up your media library a breeze—that is exactly why we built it. It’s great to know that our unused media detection and other tools are providing a smooth experience for your store. We appreciate you choosing us to help keep your site optimized!

So far, so good. I'm at least finding an easier way to downsize my images without going in one at a time.
