MinifyMe ‑ File Optimizer

Hi Treeletic,

We appreciate your feedback and would like to address your concerns regarding your experience with the Minify Me - File Optimizer app. While it's great to hear that you observed a slight improvement in mobile speed, we understand that you were expecting a more significant boost in your Google PageSpeed Insights (PSI) score.

It's essential to clarify that Minify Me primarily focuses on optimizing CSS files within your theme. Minification is a valuable practice that helps reduce the size of these files, contributing to improved loading times. However, it's important to note that site speed optimization is a multifaceted process.

Several factors influence your site's performance, including third-party apps and the code that may be generated by these apps. Unfortunately, our app does not minify JavaScript (JS) or Liquid files. If these files are not optimized and contribute to a slowdown in your site's performance, it can affect your PSI scores.

Typically, when you've minified CSS files and your site score remains unchanged or decreases, it may be due to other apps you have installed, especially those that load scripts on your site. We encourage users to assess the apps they've integrated into their stores, whether they are front-facing apps or background apps like ours, to identify if they are still necessary or if they may be impacting site speed.

We understand your expectations for improved speed, and we apologize if our app's performance fell short of meeting those expectations. While our app serves a specific purpose, we also offer a broader Google PSI Optimization service that encompasses a more comprehensive approach to site speed enhancement.

If you're interested in further improving your site's performance, you may want to explore our optimization service, which addresses not only CSS but also other elements affecting site speed, including JavaScript and Liquid files. We aim to provide a holistic solution to help you achieve your desired PSI scores for both mobile and desktop.

We appreciate your valuable feedback, and should you have any more questions or require additional information, please feel free to reach out to us. We're here to support you in your journey to enhance your site's performance.

Best regards,
