Just give me GTM. This newer app sucks. I only need to add a GA tracking ID without logging into a Google account. This used to be easy but not anymore. Thanks for overcomplicating this.
Hi! You are able to add your Google Tag manually without needing to link your ads account or any other services the app provides in the Settings tab of the app. While we do require a Google Account on install to authorize and validate your access, you won't need to connect any additional accounts if you don't want to and can simply just use the GTM functionality.

Step 3 of 3: Add your Google tag for Analytics manually (Alternative)
1. In the Google & YouTube app, navigate to the “Settings” page.
2. In the “Google tags” section click Manage.
3. You can manually add Google tags for additional Google Analytics properties (or other Google services).
4. When you are done, click Save.
5. Click Complete setup.
So far I have had very little trouble with this App. I encourage other companies to follow Google & YouTube for great help in marketing your store.

Hi - I couldn't find any support tickets under any of your possible merchant center accounts, did you submit a support ticket before the review?

Also, make sure the Google Account you use to log in and set up the Google & YouTube App has Admin access to any accounts you want to link. The Google email you use on the app needs to match an admin account on your Google Ads account to allow linking. If it does, send us a ticket and we can help.
