Ive been in retail twenty odd years and I still hate doing reorder math by hand. This thing looks at my sales trend and tells me roughly how much to bring in which has been a huge help honstly. Handling both my shop and my pop up location from one screen is somthing I didnt know I needed. The alerts bend to whatever schedule suits me too. Only gripe is setting up the WhatsApp side took a few tries.
My favorite feature is probably the ability to filter alerts by collection. I manage a pretty large catalog, so that alone cuts down on a lot of unnecessary notifications. Really useful.
Before this, I was keeping half my inventory notes in spreadsheets and still somehow missing things. The low stock alerts have been reliable, and the vendor and tag filters save me a ton of sorting. The scheduled reports give our team a regular snapshot, and I like that we can send alerts to different people depending on the location. I’d like a bit more control over the report columns, though, and the forecast numbers could use a better explanation for newer users.
Having separate alerts for each location has saved me from chasing people down for updates. The scheduled reports are handy too, especially when I want a quick idea of what needs attention before Monday.
I mostly use the low stock alerts and filters, and both have been a big help. I can narrow things down by SKU instead of digging through the whole catalog, and the Slack notifications reach our team much faster than email. I just wish the CSV reports were a little easier to read on my phone.
Setting rules by collection saved me from doing this product by product, we carry over 2000 skus. Alerts hit fast, usually before the customer service inbox tells me. Two asks for Restock Lab. Let us pause everything during a flash sale, and let thresholds change by season, summer is nothing like december for us.
Ran the Out of Stock Lab inventory report against a physical count last month and the numbers matched on all but two items. The CSV drops straight into our sheet with no cleanup. Thats all I wanted.
My dad started this shop since a while and we still run it the same way mostly, this time it is online. Getting all our reorder points in at once with the spreadsheet upload took an afternoon instead of the week I was dreading. Marco in the back gets the OOS Restock Labs emails now so Im not the botleneck anymore. The sales report also settled an arguement weve had for years about which color actually moves. Only wish, a phone app.
I am not a computer person, my nephew set OOS up for me. What I like is the message comes to WhatsApp same as everyone else who talks to me, so I dont have to remember another login. It tells me plainly which item and how many are left. A short weekly summary would be welcome.
Long time lurker, first review. The forecasting is what I keep coming back to, it flagged my candle sales climbing three weeks before I noticed. I send the PDF to my business partner every friday and she reads it without asking me questions. Filtering by vendor cut a ton of noise. Exports show up on schedule. Two things for the Restock Labs folks, a longer history in the forecast, and a suggested reorder quantity instead of just a warning.
