Put PayPal first at checkout so buyers who prefer it see it at once. Hide or rename other methods.
Payment Rules moves PayPal to the top of your checkout payment list. Start from the “PayPal first” template, check the preview and save. Checkout normally preselects the first method in the list. You can also sort any other method, hide methods such as Cash on Delivery by country, cart total, products or B2B customers, and rename methods for clarity. A safety check warns you before a rule would hide every method. Whether Shopify applies a new order depends on your plan and checkout country.
- One-click “PayPal first” template moves PayPal to the top of the payment list
- Sort payment methods into the order you want buyers to see them
- Hide methods like Cash on Delivery by country, cart total, products or B2B
- Rename payment methods so buyers understand them at a glance
- Live preview and safety check show the checkout result before you save
