We've had a great experience using Privy to grow our email list and improve customer engagement. We also appreciate having email, SMS, and popups in one platform instead of juggling multiple apps. I originally signed up for a monthly plan of $15 to create a pop-up. Without knowing, I have been charged $45 monthly for my users which don't have anything to do with the use of the app. This is absolutely absurd.

Once you subscribe, you'll get charged forever. They don't provide customer service contact number or email. They charge 6 months more after I uninstalled the service. Worst customer service. I had to contact the card company to stop charging it.

We've been using Privy for almost a decade now and it has quadrupled in usability and usefulness. They are always adding new features and it works seamlessly with Shopify.

What really impresses me is their customer success staff. Especially Henry. What a beast! We redid our old popups and got a 5x better signup rate. Great company and will continue using for years.

It will charge you for "usage fees" and it won't be very easy to figure out what they are. We used a very basic setup and forgot about it only to realize we were being charged $45+ USD a month for literally an email signup. If you're just getting started, use the free shopify email app and save yourself the headaches.
