We needed a specific fee configuration for our Shopify store: a fixed €50 charge whenever customers purchase a particular product, regardless of whether they buy one unit or 100.
I reached out to VOL Extra Fees for assistance, and the support experience was refreshingly different from what I've experienced with many other Shopify apps.
Vugar, the founder, responded almost immediately and offered to handle the entire configuration personally.
Instead of making me figure out which settings and conditions to use, he simply asked what I needed, clarified how the fee should work, and asked what I wanted to name it.
My favorite part was when he said, "Life is too short to spend time setting up a fee app!"
That's exactly the attitude I appreciate. As a business owner, I have plenty of other things to focus on, and having someone who is happy to take care of the technical setup makes a real difference.
The communication was incredibly fast, friendly, and personal. No complicated explanations or unnecessary back-and-forth, just someone who understood the requirement and immediately took ownership of helping us.
We're still finalizing the configuration, so I can't comment on the long-term performance yet, but the initial support experience has been excellent.

This App actually works for a surcharge on POS "Retail". We are a wholesaler so our products are priced at Wholesale, but some beauty products we can sell to the public, but at a higher price. Everyone can discount, but we needed the opposite which seemed to be impossible to find - until now! Vugar set everything up for me - walked me through the final couple of steps at our Shopify POS and voila, it is all working. Customer tagged retail or doesn't have a wholesale account, automatically the surcharge is added. Staff don't have to do anything - it just happens. Great customer service - very very quick and all was done and running in a very short amount of time, which included me reaching out to Vugar who happens to be the owner who assisted us every step of the way. Amazing hands-on support — they even tested everything for me!
I had a great experience with VOL Extra Fees, especially with the personal support from Vugar, the founder.
We needed to apply fees based on customers’ locations, but I wasn’t sure how to test whether everything was working correctly for visitors from different countries.
I reached out to Vugar, and he immediately explained how the app detects customer locations using IP geolocation and how we could test the fees using a VPN or temporary country settings.
Since I wasn’t comfortable changing the settings myself and didn’t want to risk affecting our live store, I asked if he could handle the testing for me.
And that’s exactly what he did!
He personally tested the setup using different IP locations, verified how the fees appeared in both the cart and checkout, and sent me screenshots so I could see the results without having to change anything myself.
What I appreciated most was that he didn’t just say, “Everything works.” He actually took the time to test it and show me the results.
The communication was fast, friendly, and reassuring throughout. He even joked that he’d happily move mountains for me if he could!
It’s refreshing to find a Shopify app with a founder who’s willing to go the extra mile and make technical things easier for merchants.

I have to say, your comment about not wanting to mess up anything on your live store really stuck with me. That's exactly why I believe support should go beyond simply explaining what buttons to click.
When you're dealing with location-based fees, it's completely reasonable to want proof that everything works correctly for customers in different countries. And if I can do the testing myself, check both the cart and checkout, and send you screenshots instead of making you figure out VPNs and technical settings, why wouldn't I? 😄
