Less is more: fantastic app and outstanding support!
Sometimes, less really is more. We tried several referral apps before settling on Shopjar, and most felt unnecessarily complicated, especially from the customer's perspective. Shopjar gets it right: the experience is simple, intuitive, and straightforward, which is exactly what a referral program should be.
What surprised us is how customizable it actually is. At first glance, it might look fairly basic, but if you're a little tech-savvy and willing to get your hands dirty, you can customize things far more extensively than you'd expect.
We actually pushed the customization quite far, and at one point we were worried we might have broken a few things ourselves. We ran into some technical issues that weren't exactly straightforward to diagnose. But this is where the Shopjar team truly impressed us.
Their support was outstanding. Rather than giving us generic answers or quick workarounds, they genuinely took the time to investigate, dig into the technical details, and work with their development team to find solutions to every issue we encountered.
A special shoutout to Sreenithi, who spent a tremendous amount of time on our case, patiently following things through and coordinating with the technical team until everything was resolved. That level of dedication and genuine care is something we really appreciate, especially as a small business.
Everything now seems to be working as intended, and we're genuinely excited to launch our referral program and see how it performs with real customers.
It's still early days for us, so we can't speak to long-term results just yet, but based on the flexibility of the app and the quality of the support we've received, Shopjar is looking incredibly promising.
