Seal Subscriptions App

I tried out 5-6 different subscription apps for our coffee store. Seal was the most flexible, well thought trough app. Especially their customer service is quick and very helpful even if you have specific requirements they help you to find a solution. And they are always open to roll out new features based on your inputs if it's something useful for all customers. Can recommend 100%.

So far so good! The app is pretty easy to use, liking the options for customers, the incentive to not cancel in order to receive the next level of savings. Goal is to have at least 1000 subscribers to create sustained income flow to the company without relying on new customers.

The Seal Subscriptions App is the best all-around subscription app on Shopify. The app's functionality is both nimble and robust, their service is excellent, and they don't charge a transaction fee like most other subscription applications, which only eats into your profits. Nathan, Marko, and the rest of the support team are rock stars and always there for you. Look no further!

Great customer support! We were able to migrate in over 600 subscriptions from Wordpress without it being too painful. The automatic payments stayed in tact as well, which was a concern of ours. This app is great!

Great app and great service. Helped fix a problem with the product automations for new products. Very kind with quick solutions. We've been using this app for some time and it significantly increased our sales and retention of our customer base. Thank you!

Update: I am downgrading my review to one star as this still hasn't been fixed.

Be aware that every time a customer moves house and changes their address, or updates the billing details, the subscription will break, without notifying the seller. The link you can send to the customer to update their billing details does not resolve it.

This is a huge flaw in the app as it creates a lot of friction for the customer, extra work for the seller, and some lost business. I've messaged Seal several times about this, but all they suggest is setting up a new subscription. By that time it's often too late - the customer has either moved on or I have to give them a free product to make up for the inconvenience.

In addition, while their customer support is fast, the quality of the replies is often poor and requires multiple emails going back and forth.

Brilliant features, easy setup and smooth integration with Shopify. We would recommend Seal to any business thinking about selling subscriptions. The 'Built for Shopify' filter on the Shopify store helped us to trust and decide to go with Seal Subscriptions.

So far, and I have only set up 2 subscriptions -it is going smoothly. The videos are extremely helpful and we got it going very quickly. Out customers had a smooth transition and there have been no complaints (unlike with the other subscription service we used). Thank you!

This is a great option. Only not a 5 star because if you offer annual subscription purchases the app doesn't play well with shipstation.
