Greetings, the application itself is free and is no associated with any charges. The subscription you are probably referring to can be canceled at any time in your account on stape.io

To remove Stape app and all dependent scripts you need to remove the app itself and delete the custom web pixel with code snippet mentioned under the dataLayer tab of the Stape app in the Shopify Settings -> Customer events section (if you have created one).

The staff listen to feedback and add new functions / fix bugs.
I am hopeful it works but we could not find information on adding ecom data layer or webhooks. Where would we find all that information? If it would be clearer and provided all works you would have gotten more stars.

Thanks for your feedback. The app has two dedicated tabs for what you are seeking:
1. DataLayer
2. Webhooks
both just need a checkbox to be enabled as is reflected in the screenshots (see ones with huge numbers 2 and 3)
