Doesn't Work with Shopify POS GO... they really need to update the app to allow you to print the document. You get stuck at the print screen and it doesn't engage the print module.

So far it is working much like the old one. I did have to make a lot of adjustments to the code for the changeover. If you have anything custom in your template then you will need to put time into re-coding your template. It turned out fine for us, but I did have to do it on my own. I did get some assistance from the AI assistant bot when I went to the help pages. I typed in some of what I had issues on and it gave me some code to work with that I further adjusted. Overall we seem to like it well enough. I did notice that we have to go directly into the app to print instead of printing from our orders. It wasn't this way when I first downloaded the new app. Not sure about why it changed.
was worried because there were many one-star reviews, but I found the app to be perfectly fine and very satisfactory. Perhaps the negative reviews are part of a campaign to push people toward paid apps?
You can quickly preview changes immediately after making them, making it easy to fix any mistakes. Even for Japan's invoice compliance, you can make the necessary adjustments with minimal CSS knowledge. Given that this can be done for free, I'm more than satisfied.
This app is OK. What needs to be done is to add a column with the final price. For example, for a quantity of 2 at a price of $20 the righthand column should say $40, not $20. The former app did this and it was clear how the final total was calculated.
Thank you for taking the time and sharing this feedback. You can customize the Order Printer templates (https://shopify.link/p131) to display a final total. However, if you're not comfortable working with coding languages, then this is something that our Theme Support team can help you with. It pains me to leave this review but here's goes...
No search. No tax number. No branding. No layout. No respect - it's like we're in a minimum viable app experiment?
This feels like a higher-level strategy to favour app developers by moving basic functions to apps. But the app store soup is a Shopify downside, not a strength: less apps = better.
There's no question that print invoice should be next to print packing slip on the order page - unless that's moving to an app as well?
The best way to sum-up the overall strategy of moving basic functions to apps, is to quote Spinal Tap's album review; "**** sandwich".
We know you can do better Shopify, you just have to believe... "Inner Peace… Inner Peace… Dinner Please … Dinner with Peas..." :)
*EDIT*
The top bar searches orders but finding the order doesn't help print the receipt, as it doesn't appear under 'Print' on the order page. We had to manually click through 10,000 orders to find a receipt via the app page - no joke!
And after sifting through help results for email and POS receipt templates, we finally noticed a grey link on the far left. It's unnoticeable on large monitors but once you realise built-in features are moving to apps, you see it. Although, separating orders from receipts makes for a terrible experience - no?
Thank you for taking the time and sharing this review. While there isn't a search function at this time, you can always use the built-in search function on your device when editing the templates. You can also edit the templates to include the tax info, add branding, and adjust the layouts. If you need help with customizing the templates (https://shopify.link/KBxv), then this is something that our Theme Support team can help you with. Simply visit the Shopify Help Center (https://shopify.link/vRnL) and we'd be happy to submit a customization request on your behalf. Cheers. -Elias, Shopify Support
Easy and simple transition, with no issues, all templates came across successfully.
After reading some of the negative reviews from earlier days, we were a bit hesitant and delayed our migration until now.
It was all good for us, so business as usual.
I have been a Shopify customer for almost 8 years and the most recent changes to this Order Printer app has completely screwed up our personalization workflow. Moving the personalized elements into notes has made this a complete, unreadable mess. If I could rate this 0 stars or negative stars I would. You made this change without letting us know or consulting us as customers -- one of the poorest moves you have made to date!
Hi there, thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear that changes to the app have negatively impacted your workflow and I'll be sure to pass your comments onto our app development team. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. -Victor, Shopify Support
This should be a smooth transfer from the old app to the new one but it's not. The import templet function does not work and when we try to print orders in bulk every couple pages is messed up and split between two pieces of paper. They really need to implement some support for this app or fine tune it and rerelease.
Hi there! Thanks for sharing your feedback with us here. We may be able to provide some customisation support for your templates via our Themes team, if you can reach out using our Help Centre here: (https://shopify.link/7PNJ). -Don, Shopify Support
This app is just ok. If you don't understand HTML which I have limited knowledge on, its going to be hard to edit the format of the invoice/packing slip. I do like how we can edit this with a lot of variables because our invoice requires more things than just a standard invoice but it takes some time to understand how each variable is supposed to be formatted in HTML.
My one feature suggestion is to be able to email a PDF version of the invoice to customers more easily than just saving it as a PDF each time and emailing it manually. This would save us so much time.
Hi First Source Wireless, thank you so much for your review and feedback of the Order Printer app. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your suggestions for the app! For assistance in HTML formatting, which can definitely be difficult if you aren't experienced in it, we can recommend using an AI helper to assist. I'll be sure to pass your feedback to our developers for further consideration. - Shay, Shopify Support
Was using this app happily until the new requirement appeared to allow the app to harvest data and also most worryingly specifically this:
Edit products
Products or collections
MY REPLY: It's very worrying that you have to give the app permission to edit products and collections. Order printer legacy didn't requite this. Neither does any of the other apps I've installed.
Hi Spider Magnetics! Thank you for your feedback, and I understand your concern. The app requires access to this information so that it can create and print the documents you need. Without this access it won't be able to access the order data or fill in the different variables you want to have on your templates. Don't hesitate to chat with our authenticated support team if you have additional questions about the app's permissions: https://bit.ly/2AWw5VA. - Shay, Shopify Support
