The idea is great but it has assumed affordable markups at a ridiculous level, markups that would shut down a brick and mortar small business in record time, I hope you introduce merchant level minimum markups to cover extraordinary merchant overheads and business running costs soon! I'll certainly update my review once this app evolves to cater to small retailers and more specifically to the industry of the seller store.
Thanks for your feedback because it's helped us improve. We've just released margin control in Smart Pricing. Now you can set a minimum margin, so no price tip goes below it and a maximum discount when costs aren't available. This allows price tips to account for your total overhead to fit the realities of running your store.
We invite you check it out under the new Settings tab and consider updating your review if the solution works for your store.
Maybe I am missing something, but it looks like the app is not taking into account the margins of each product and the market prices - this, for some stores, makes it useless...
Thanks for your initial feedback because it's helped us improve. We recently released Settings to let merchants set their minimum margin for products with cost and maximum discount for those without. This lets merchant pass the complex costs and operations of running their business into tips to protect margin. Additionally, merchants can now add or edit product costs directly in the app. We invite you to check it out to receive better tips. We have a a lot of Shopify Collective products and this app doesn't seem to consider that at all.
Thanks for the direct feedback. That’s a real gap in markdowns and markups since those tips use available inventory as a signal.
We acknowledge that markdowns and markups aren't the best fit for merchants heavily using Shopify Collective products where stock levels aren’t the right driver for price changes. Instead, new product price tips may be a better fit for you. We offer price tips for your newly added active products based on how similar products across Shopify are priced as a gut check of your price range and customer expectations.

Limited features compared to other price test apps - better to spend a little $ to get real insights/flexibility
Thank you for taking the time to share this. You're right that Smart Pricing is newer and leaner. We made it free because we wanted A/B price testing and AI price tips to be accessible without a big upfront spend. We started with a focused set of features rather than matching every paid tool on day one. We actively use merchant feedback to decide what to build next: recently we added product type, tag, and vendor filters to make price test setup easier based on merchant feedback like yours. Save button does not work. This app has been though by people who dont really knows how an ecommerce and a business work... you think that we are going to automate prices massively and give an AI the control of them, without any kind of control and minimum profit margins? who is the brilliant brain that has published a b...t like this?
Thanks for sharing your feedback. The app analyzes merchants' sales, inventory, costs, and market trends to surface price tips. No price changes automatically. Merchants have to actively decide and make a decision. To save and apply a price tip, use the Update button on your markdown, markup, and new product tips.
