I would be extremely careful installing this app.
I recently discovered Sales Pop was charging my store $299/month through Shopify app billing. I did not realize the app could auto-upgrade up to that amount based on usage unless auto-upgrade was disabled.
In my opinion, that is a very risky billing setup for small businesses, especially for a sales popup app. Even if this is technically disclosed during installation, I do not think the pricing, session limits, and auto-upgrade risk were clear enough.
I have uninstalled the app and requested a refund/credit, along with confirmation that there will be no future billing.
I would not recommend this app unless you are absolutely sure you understand the billing, session limits, auto-upgrade settings, and cancellation process.
Please refund or credit the most recent $299 charge and confirm in writing that my Sales Pop subscription is fully cancelled with no future billing.
Amazing app for Shopify stores! The popups look clean, professional, and very easy to customize. It helped make my perfume store feel more active and trustworthy for customers. Setup was simple, and the interface is beginner friendly. I also like that there are many different notification types and display options. The app works smoothly on mobile and desktop. Support has also been helpful and responsive. Highly recommended for anyone looking to improve social proof and conversions on their store...

It's a helpful app if you need social proof tools on your website. I didn't encounter any issues with it for few years now

Downloaded and installed easily, support team went through a 30 minute set up zoom call to get settings set to my liking. Only been installed a few days but adds another level of sales strength to my site. Happy so far.

I downloaded another app which offered a free membership of SalesPop. I downloaded SalesPop, they made me increase the app spending limit on my account to $300 because that was a requirement even though I was not going to be charged (supposedly). This is the second month my account is charged with $299… I am still trying to end the membership I never approved.
It doesn’t even work well… the pop ups are annoying and I haven’t seen an increase in sales at all.
This is the worst app in Shopify, super expensive, and a scam.
Sales Pop is certainly not a scam and works very well for thousands of happy Shopify stores.
I understand that you added Sales Pop to your Shopify store after being offered a 100% discount from our partner Book that App.
Unfortunately, when you cancelled your subscription to Book that App you were no longer eligible for the discount.
Sales Pop is a usage-based app with plans ranging from $29 to $299. In the event you exceed your session limit on a lower tier plan you can be upgraded to a higher tier unless you disable auto-upgrading. For this reason all users must accept subscription charges up to a maximum of $299 when installing the app.
Any Sales Pop user can request to be put on a FREE plan and can disable auto-upgrade on their own inside the app Pricing page.
I have changed your subscription to the Free plan and auto-upgrade is disabled so unless you select another plan you will not be charged for Sales Pop going forward.
If you want to cancel your subscription to Sales Pop you will need to uninstall the app.
