Simmer: Food Service/Cafe POS

We found Simmer when it first came out and have been using it ever since. It has come a long way and continues to improve with each update.

It took our staff a little time initially to understand how Simmer interacts with Shopify, but once we got through that learning curve, it became a great tool for our operation. The Simmer team has always been open and receptive to our feedback, ideas, and suggestions for improvements.

We use Simmer primarily for our quick-service food concepts and have processed just shy of 30,000 orders through the system. With all of the improvements and updates over the past 12 months, it is now working seamlessly with our KDS screens and has become an important part of our food service operation.

It has been great to see the platform grow and improve, and we’re looking forward to seeing where they take it next!

Our Shopify website and POS has been live for about a month and a half, and Simmer has been one of our most used, and valuable apps! It makes user navigation easy, especially with our complex business. We use Simmer mainly for our smoothie add-on options, but it's useful for more than just this. Order fulfillment is easily done with Simmer, and I like the ability for our kitchen to receive "sent" tickets on a display screen, saving them time and paper materials.

Even the Simmer support has been outstanding – Simon is extremely helpful with any questions or concerns, and ensures the app works for our business needs. If you are looking for something that is easy to use, works with all business types, and offers personal (human) support, I would highly recommend this app!

I have been using this app for a few weeks now.
At the very first, I was very desappointed as many features weren't working fine. It was very frustrating. The app promises weren't here. And then, the Simmer Team (Seb) got in touch with me to understand my worries and to ask me how they could help my team and I in using their app. I told them a few key points to improve to make their app very efficient. I finally found them very concerned about my experience and they have been working to fix all the bugs that I noticed to them. Today the app is more fluid. I can also say that kind of app that suits coffee shop with terrasse and table orders is quite rare. And I can say now their app is good choice for taking orders at tables with a very nice kitchen display system. A few things are still to be improved but I can bank on them to make it. Today change my 1* score to a 4* score. Maybe in a few weeks I will put a 5* score. Thank you Seb for your help.

The team at Simmer have been extremely responsive in helping us to get the most out of this app. We've worked closely with Simon to get a more unified POS solution set up for our Cellar Door and Restaurant, and when we've needed support it has been quick and effective. Definitely recommend.

We've been using Simmer at a few different Shopify POS locations for a little while now for both the KDS and the modifiers. It's a solid product, and the development team has been making improvements quickly over the past several months adding different features. Any questions or concerns that we've encountered have been quickly explained or fixed after an email. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a KDS on Shopify.

Die App ist unkompliziert, flexibel anpassbar und macht unsere Arbeit enorm leichter. Was früher aufwendig und fehleranfällig war, läuft jetzt schnell, übersichtlich und absolut zuverlässig. Für uns ist Simmer ein echter Gamechanger, wenn es um Gäste und Bestellungen geht.

Fazit: Sehr geil, absolut empfehlenswert und genau die Lösung, die wir gesucht haben. Für uns gibt es kein Zurück mehr – Simmer ist aus unserem Betrieb nicht mehr wegzudenken.
