Trunk ‑ Stock Sync & Bundling

We tried a lot of inventory apps to link Shopify and Ebay and Trunk was ahead of the class in everything we were looking for. We run an Ebay store with over 35,000 items and having to deal with out of stock sales was a massive headache that kept us from even listing on the Shopify. When linking with Trunk our inventory had instant updates. Something would sell on Ebay and within seconds the inventory on Shopify matched and vice versa. Definitely worth the money for me. This app will grow our shopify storefront exponentially and I have such confidence in the future with Trunk controlling the numbers.

Trunk is a life saver! As the one-woman show behind my business dealing in large volumes of products (stickers, pins, etc) managing inventory levels on my own was a nightmare, but doable. But when my business began to scale rapidly, I had to delay or even cancel orders sometimes as my isolated sales channels would oversell products that could take up to a month to restock. Trunk has freed up a TON of my time and eliminated a huge source of anxiety in the day-to-day operation of my business. Trunk is the best!!! So easy to set up and use. Integrates with my eBay and Shopify stores. Tracks and adjusts quantities across all sales channels in real time so I never sell product I don’t have in stock. That was my biggest headache. My favourite feature is creating bundles and kits. This allows me to create multiple listings using the same products in different quantities and sets across my stores and Trunk keeps track of it all. Ensuring what I have listed is available to sell. Trunk. It’s changed my business. Helped me grow and saved me valuable time I can utilise elsewhere in my business.

I have tattoos and candle-making kits in my shop. The tattoos sell either in single design or in combos. Trunk was the only one that allowed me to package my items so that it would deduct available inventory from all the listings that would use a given product. Plus, it synchronizes from Etsy to Shopify and vice versa. Two things made me hesitate before subscribing, it doesn't calculate COGS, and it doesn't link with Quickbooks. But I still went for it. James is the main contact person, and he is very friendly. As we recommend improvements, he adds them to his queue and lets us know what he is currently working on. Thumbs up to James.

My 2019 review: Stock syncing is an absolute necessity for my business and I am delighted to say Trunk handles this with ease. It saves me so much time and stress, I was always worrying that I might over-sell but since using Trunk I have had no problems whatsoever. Support is always fast and friendly.

2023 update: Unfortunately I've started to experience a lot of stock syncing discrepancies over the last few weeks, leading to overselling stock that is out of stock. It's unfortunate as Trunk always did this better than the rest so I'm really disappointed. Hope it can be rectified soon but looking at other reviews it seems I'm not alone.

We started using Trunk to bridge the inventory management gap between Shopify and Faire. The ability to sync between these platforms has been a real game changer for us. Trunk has eliminated a huge amount of time and tedious effort around updating our inventory across platforms, and frankly has eliminated the fear that human error will cause a bad customer service experience as items go out of stock. We already had a solution for Etsy but Trunk gives us an extra layer of connectivity and a super digestable dashboard that lets us see that all our channels are all in sync at a glance. The Trunk support team is highly communicative and easy to work with. In short, we love Trunk!

Trunk really provides what we were looking for in an inventory management app. Since we have multiple Shopify stores, and within those stores, multiple product variants that relate to the same base inventory product, we needed a solution to aggregate those shops and products and have them in one dashboard only. We even set up bundles, so if a watch is sold, not only the watch case is deducted from the inventory, but also a strap and a clasp. Once Trunk is coming with its reporting tools, there's really no difference to the significantly more expensive apps. Throughout the installation and setup, James from Trunk has been incredibly responsive and helpful. I highly recommend this app!

Trunk is the missing puzzle piece I've been NEEDING in my business for years. Inventory has always been the biggest pain point with the multiple platforms I sell on, but HOLY CANNOLI, Trunk has been a game changer for me! It seamlessly syncs everything in real time like magic, and the bundling/kitting feature actually made me scream when I discovered it. (Anyone else just LOVE when solutions are easy-breezy?!) I cannot recommend this platform enough; it is easy-to-use, the customer service is incredible, and I have a feeling there's even more goodness to come. Trunk is a powerful tool that works seamlessly. We use it on our store for two uses, which it performs excellently. 1 - To calculate the inventory of our products, based on our inventory of the lower-level piece parts that make up our top-level products. When I was looking, I couldn't find any alternative apps that did this as well as syncing inventory to multiple sales channels (Amazon, Etsy, etc). 2 - We sync the inventory of our BoM from Quickbooks Online, to retain the ability to run accurate inventory reports, based on our inventory of physical parts instead of top levels products. During set up, I had a couple of questions, both were answered swiftly and helpfully. Would certainly recommend.

I highly recommend using Trunk. I had researched other companies, but nothing compared. They made it SUPER convenient for me to manage all my inventory across multiple listings and platforms. I can't imagine going back to not using it. SUCH A TIME SAVER, and instantly calculates my inventory after a sale. Having to manage hundreds of orders a week was getting hard to keep up with inventory changes. It was a little tough to grasp at first because I suck at technology but with the help of a super great customer service I was able to figure everything out. The quick response rate was incredible. I'm sure as I continue to grow my business and platforms I will use Trunk. Definitely worth the investment. :)
