I have been using X-Shield for a few months now because I was experiencing a lot of traffic from Bots which was really impacting on my shop visibility on search engines. By implementing X-Shield I am really pleased to see how much traffic has been blocked and have noticed an improvement in the real customer traffic (as opposed to bots) and also in the conversion rate.
Thank you! Great to hear the bot traffic dropped and your real customer traffic and conversion rate picked up. If anything ever slips through, the Support page in the app reaches me directly. — Hoang, X Shield
Highly recommend. We faced a Bot Traffic flood issue out of the blue and needed to handle it especially before the launch of our biggest campaign ever.
X Shield took care of it immediately and almost perfectly. It can be your easiest defense as well as your most trusted backup. To be able to get out of such a panic situation where all your metrics and analytics are being contaminated, you need X Shield!
Thank you for sharing this. A bot flood right before your biggest campaign is exactly when it matters, and I'm glad it held up. If anything still gets through, send me the details from the app's Support page and I'll look into it. — Hoang, X Shield
Easy to use and configure.
Thank you! Glad setup was quick. If a rule ever needs adjusting, the Support page in the app reaches me directly. — Hoang, X Shield
Love this app. From the UI to the Support. Thanks a ton.
Thanks a ton yourself! Happy the UI and the support both worked for you. — Hoang, X Shield
Exceptional support and custom features!
I am beyond impressed with X Shield. I needed a way to access my own store while keeping my country blocked for others, and the support team (Hoang) went above and beyond by programming a custom IP Whitelist feature just for me!
The response was incredibly fast, and the setup is so simple and accurate. It works perfectly for my Shopify store. If you're looking for a reliable store guard app with a team that actually listens to your needs, this is it. Highly recommended!
Nice tool and easy to use. One advice: could you set it to block countries for only some products?
is blocking even my own countries customers
Thank you for your feedback, and we're sorry you had this experience.
Since your review, we've made significant improvements to X Shield to make protection much more accurate while reducing false positives.
Some of the biggest updates include:
1. Dry Run Mode – Test your security rules safely before enforcing them, so you can verify that legitimate customers won't be blocked.
2. Security Analytics – Monitor blocked visitors, review detection results, and identify exactly why requests are being blocked.
3. Improved detection logic with many refinements to reduce incorrect blocking of legitimate visitors.
4. Additional whitelist and configuration options for greater control.
If you're open to giving X Shield another try, we'd be happy to help you configure it for your store and ensure your own customers can browse without issues while still keeping unwanted traffic out.
Please feel free to contact us anytime—we're always happy to help.
