MLV Auto Currency Switcher

Great App and extremely fast and helpful support! They allowed us to overcome the hurdle of being able to accept payments in both INR and international currencies simultaneously. Their team also put in the extra effort to set up our payment gateway early in order to meet a deadline. The only shortcoming we felt was that the price of the multi currency payment app and the automatic multi currency display app was the same, and you do need both to run the app well as most customers will not know that they have to change the currency themselves. Ideally they should be part of one package and priced lower because the cost of the apps + Shopify's fees do add up at the end of the month. Apart from this, the app and their team are the best solution we could have asked for!

Update: Mlveda fixed the issue quickly this time. It turns out the issue kept happening because we were making updates to Shopify templates which is our regular site maintenance routine. Mlveda fixed this dependency from the template as well.

It's been a few months we are trying to use this app. To install the app or to change any settings you need their support team and the communication is very weak.
We paid a customization to check out in the selected currency and this part broke 3 times in the past several weeks. Every time it breaks it takes weeks to fix with minimal communication.
I am giving them the last chance to fix it quickly and unfortunately if this does not happen I will uninstall it.
Unfortunately cannot recommend this app to anyone at this point.

I'm no IT guru so I hired an expert to get currency conversion working on my store, but I also wanted to right through to checkout (which shopify doesn't support). Reshma was my contact at MLveda and she was wonderful. Very quick response, very good communication. They got everything working and tested in test duplicate before we went live. We found a small glitch, it was fixed very quickly. From start to finish Reshma was great. They did a fantastic job and I couldn't be happier. The Auto Currency Switcher works well in the store, it lags a little bit, but no big issue. But also MLveda have an external app (mCheckout) that keeps your currency conversion IN CHECKOUT!! Awesome, exactly what I needed. It also pulls the live shipping rates I use with my chosen shipping service in the checkout and currency converts that too and the total, everything, PERFECT.

Have been using this app for over a year now and is definitely the best app and team to have on your side for multi-currency and multi-language checkouts. Very responsive and helpful customer service. We use this app with mCheckout which is without a doubt the best multi-currency solution for any multi-currency, multi-language store. Here at makemybellyfit.com we are a Quebec (French) based store in Canada with customers worldwide. The added language element makes finding the right multi-currency app trickier as we also need the checkout translated. Auto Currency Switcher, coupled with mCheckout, Langify and Geolizr is the ONLY solution we have found so far that allows us to display the correct currency AND language to our customers AND allow them to checkout in their respective currency AND language. Any other checkout is active all the time and although might display the correct currency, won't be in the correct language nor can it be translated (technical difficulty for a translation app to translate 3rd party apps).

I’ve only had the ‘Auto Currency Switcher’ app installed for a couple of days but so far, so good. It looks very neat and tidy when integrated using the ‘Inline with the Header’ option.

I don’t want to put anyone off using this app, but be aware that you might need to contact support to get the app working with your theme. I use Palo Alto 4.6.3 on my store (Shopify 2.0) and initially nothing happened at all. But just contact support – they are great! I spoke to Shaba Khan via live chat who was superb, extremely responsive and used very clear English. I actually thought I would be talking to a Bot but she was definitely a human!

Because I wanted the switcher to be integrated inline with the header, it did require a bit of extra tweaking by their technical team which took a few hours.

So if it doesn’t work first time and you can wait a few hours, don’t uninstall it, contact their amazing support and they’ll soon have you up and running.

BTW, if you are not 100% sure, the app definitely does automatically change to the correct currency depending on your location – it’s not just a manual switcher.

This is our first ever review on Shopify, because we really feel, that it's the least we can do to thank MLveda team.
For about the whole 6 months we've been on Shopify - and even before that, we've been looking for a way to display prices including VAT tax within the EU and without the VAT tax to all the none EU membering countries. The selection needed to be automised based on visitors IP, in order to work as it should. Estonian VAT is 20% so that's a good "discount" to all the none EU customers, that don't need to pay it.
We had been using Auto Currency Switcher since the beginning and had no idea they could do this modification for us. It was only until we came across another one of their apps and asked if they could set it up for us as mentioned above.
Amrish from their team then surprised us, saying that we don't need the other app at all and that they can set up the Auto Currency Switcher to do all that VAT and IP thingy. I believe he didn't have to do that and could have easily just pay monthly fees for using two of their apps, but he didn't and that's rare these days.
He said it would only take about 24 hours to set the ACS up in order to make it do what we needed, and they did. They even customised it all to look better with our theme.
Now for a European company who sells worldwide, that is a "must have" feature on their e-store. 20% makes a lot of difference when looking at the price numbers. We believe, that this new feature will have a strong impact on our sales, exporting outside the EU.

If you don't want your theme being messed up badly i would 100% avoid this app and developers.

I tested 5 other currency converters and this one was easily the best and the support was excellent. Highly recommend!!
