As an alcoholic beverage company operating in Canada, this app really helped us clean up our processes - especially once it became automated. The guys at Sasquatch are always ready to help with any issues we've come across.
The app seems essential but does not work with the Ella theme. Maybe the problem comes from the cart in ajax. You should also be able to apply the rule to all the products in the store without selecting them one by one.
We are more than happy to take a quick look at any theme issues. Please shoot us a note about your theme issues (support@sasquatchstudio.co). Although we do test on over 20 themes on a regular basis, sometimes newer or paid themes work differently as they are all built by different developers.
In terms, of product selection, you can select up to 200 products at a time with one click and then go to the next page to select another 200. We find most of our clients have different rules/fees so they end up hand selecting anyways.
We were trying to find a way to charge a deposit on wine bottles sold both in-store and online. Canteen is exactly what we needed. Taxation on beverage alcohol is hard enough in Ontario, but Shopify does not make it easy - Canteen did. Now we don't have to pay our accountant as much!

Everything's working great ! Helped us a lot find a way to add a deposit with our products. Would recommend the customer support who designed something on-demand to adapt our needs to their product.

The app does what you expect in terms of deposit. The support is world class. No matter if day, night or weekend, you get a real human being to help and even dive into your code.
We are using this app for the last 4 years and it is perfect for what we need. Also, when we had some problems, the support always has given us a quick solution!!! I recommen it 100%
app doest work correctly, it doesnt work correct with POS
Thank you for taking the time to use our app. As we’ve mentioned in our support interactions, Shopify has certain limitations that prevent us from automatically calculating fees in the POS cart. Currently, the only way Shopify allows us to implement this is through app tiles, and we’ve worked hard to make the process as smooth as possible. We’re always keeping an eye on potential API changes that could further improve the user experience.
