Read this before you build your store around this app.
A few weeks ago, Fast Bundles was removed from the Shopify App Store.. and we found out from our own customers who suddenly couldn't complete their bundle orders. Not from Fast Bundles. Not an email, not a banner, not a heads-up. Nothing. Our customers knew before we did.
Bundles are the core of our business. When their app went down, we were effectively shut down. It happened on a Friday night, and I personally worked around the clock through Saturday and Sunday to rebuild every single bundle on a different app just to keep our store running. That was our weekend.. spent cleaning up their mess.
The worst part isn't that something broke. Things break. The worst part is how little they cared:
- Zero proactive communication. They were far more concerned with fixing their own app than with the merchants left dead in the water.
- No timeline, no answers. When they finally did respond, they had no idea when anything would be resolved.
- We were on their highest plan — $299/month. We had just paid them days before the app disappeared. They took our money and said nothing.
When you sell through bundles, this app isn't a "nice to have"... it's load-bearing infrastructure for your revenue. And these are the people you'd be trusting with it. They showed us exactly how much a paying, top-tier customer is worth to them when it mattered: nothing.
Learn from our mistake. Do not build your business on Fast Bundles. Have a backup plan, or better yet, choose a partner that treats an outage, and its paying customers, like it actually matters.
