To your point on why we charge monthly instead of a one-time fee: keeping Grouptify running means we're hosting and maintaining the app around the clock, syncing your product data, keeping variant displays accurate in real time, and staying compatible as Shopify evolves. A single upfront payment simply wouldn't sustain that level of ongoing infrastructure, engineering, and support long-term.
But more than just keeping the app running, this model is also what lets us keep investing in making it better: in just about half a year in the market, we've grown into one of the most feature-rich apps for product groups and combined listings out there, and we're not slowing down. So far so good. I have only grouped 3 items together as a variant group but so far so good. It looks so much better visually in store.
