Fast Simon AI Search & Filters

Had a nightmare of a time transferring our Instant Search + data over to a new Shopify store. Instant Search + works pretty well once you have it setup, but migrating data to a new store was sure a headache.

So far its been a great app to work with. Its more than just search as it allows you to have better control over filters on your browse pages and has a nice product recommendation widget for PDP pages. Ed and the team were super responsive to address an issue I was having. They even put in an enhancement for me in a matter of days. I highly recommend

Had used InstantSearch+ with our old Magento 1 site as the native site search was terrible. InstantSearch changed all of that quickly. It became a critical part of our site's overall health and success. We moved from Magento to Shopify in October 2017 and felt it necessary to have this app for the sake of continuity. It proved wise as the conversion data using site search is great. Highly recommend. The support and customer service is attentive and extremely helpful!

These guys have gone above and beyond for us. First and foremost, the plugin is fantastic and exactly what we needed. But more importantly their team has been tremendous with support as we worked through a rapid site launch. We've only been online with them for about two weeks, but I could not be any happier.

Honestly, if you don't have this app you're kind of shooting yourself in the foot. Easy to install, loads of features and provides an overall fantastic user experience. Along with showing what's popular on your store, ALOT of backend features. Overall just so much explain, but the HUGE 30day free trial is sure sign, that this is 5star worthy. Try it, won't be disappointed.

The Instant Search + app is an eye-opener! Stop looking for alternatives. It is quite easy to set up and has a load of very useful options to configure and leaves all configurations what is shown in your shop just to you. You are in the drivers seat! It works fast and offers your visitors and customers plenty of additional access layers. It offers advanced search and display functionalities that I have not found anywhere else. It is for sure worth the money! I had an issue with currency display initially, but they solved it professionally and in no time. Install it today!

I tried this app day 1 and I fell in love with what it does for search drop down on the search box at the top of our website. Plus on mobile it also looked and worked perfectly. Then I ran into the challenge of the search filter which was not very mobile friendly. I found a few websites that did have this search filter process worked out but still had challenges. So, I wrote up an outline of how the refine process could reduce confusion of when you selected an attribute like size for the filter menu to collapse and the page to refresh...once it did you would see the products remaining after filtering. Before when I first used the app it would refresh and still show the filter...requiring you to go back and find the Refine button to close the left menu.

I sent my ideas to support and within a day they changed the entire app to now auto refresh...yes you heard correctly; they fixed the bug not just on my version but every users. Your welcome! Now I get to use this great app for a reasonable price but don't think I wont find other things wrong with it in the future. What I can count on is if I'm right, their team will actually listen and just might implement the changes.

I do like Instant Search +, dont get me wrong, it's a really really good search index that works absolutely flawless most of the time.

My issue is the pricing, i have a relatively small shop and i HAVE to shell out 20$ per month because i have alot of products listed and i find it heavily overpriced for what i'm getting.

While i was in the trial i could at least Sync the data on demand, now that i'm paying i dont have this option anymore. So whenever i change prices i have to live with the fact that people will see the WRONG prices in search until the next day. They will also not see newly added products until the app decides to sync the next day by itself.
That is unfortunately a huge bummer for any business that changes it's products / prices quite fast.

The solution is simple... spend even more money so i can sync on demand. But i'm not willing to do that, as i already find the price borderline acceptable for what volume we have.

Anyways... the app itself is great, the separation of features for small clients like me is very unfortunate and i cannot recommend it under these circumstances for anyone who works at low margins. Pricingplans that take away core features which are convenient are a thing of the past.

Until sync on demand is in the cheaper plans this app is a 3 / 5 in my book unfortunately. I expect this as a core functionality from a Search App. Otherwise it doesnt work correctly simple as that.

(And i'm not even having the cheapest plan mind you!)

because they have access to our sales numbers they want to charge over $500 a month otherwise they will discontinue the service.
we are using mega search app now and it works just as good but 28 times cheaper
