Easy to setup but what is most important is superb support - we had a problem to display the language switcher correctly in our site and Langify support team was so responsive and even did some coding for us to fix the problem.
Great product and great support - keep up the good work guys!

The code this injects in your them and the complete lack of developer documentation for the custom ly_ tags makes your theme very hard to edit afterwards. If you dont touch the code of your Shopify store then this is a very good solution to translate your site. If you do need to modify the code of your store, steer clear of this app.
The customer support is just amazing! Not so complicated to use, sometimes it does not work properly (or I just don't understand how it works) but again, I just sent an email and then the customer support team did everything for me. This is the first time I see such a good customer support. I definitely recommend this app, you won't be disappointed.
Superb customer support. Johannes is quick to respond and no request is too much bother. For my Swiss market a trilingual website is vital and langify's simple set up makes it a painless process to get started. I like that I can have as many different languages as I like for the one fixed monthly cost. No problems at all with this app so far and would highly recommend.
This is the best language translation app we used with shopify. simply great. Easy to use and best of all great support!!. They are like one among our team. Very much satisfied with the app and support they provided. And yes we will be and are using on our other shopify stores as well. Now everytime we choose a theme or app first thing we make sure its compatibility with langify because langify is one of our core app. Thank you guys.
Langify v2 Cons, found with my experience:
- unable to manage pages from page builder, other than pagefly
- impossible to translate the contents of the site (cart, account, etc.)
- does not recognize all metafields
- very complex and not very functional installation, always required technical support
- language change menu stops working with each language change
- performance dropped from 60 points to 49 points using this app (very little optimization)
Thank you fo your feedback and I'd like to use this reply to clarify some things!
1. It's simply not true that we do not support other page builders than pagefly. langify is using the native shopify translation API and almost all page builders are storing the generated HTML in separated theme templates instead of storing it in the regular shopify page description (which would make it easy to translate those in the regular way). That makes it hard to translate those pages and we are the only app that is using the native shopify translation API that supports translating such static templates. In short: langify allows you to translate all static strings generated by a page builder app of your choice in the "Static" section.
2. This is completely wrong! Again: langify is using the shopify translation API and therefore ALL internationalized theme strings, including the cart and account, can be translated in our "Theme" translation section.
3. That is true but we restricted the access to some metafield namespaces such as "global". We did that because lot's of apps and shopify itself uses such namespaces for internal codes that simply are not translatable. Just drop us a mail and we will whitelist your metafields. Due to that issue shopify now added public and private metafields but this needs to be adapted by all apps over time.
4. Not sure what you mean by complex as we have a very clear structure of translation sections such as "Products", "Collections", "Pages", etc. Always required technical support? I don't remember you getting in touch with us at all in regards to "technical issues" - if someone needs help we're ready to assist but it's definitely not like "everyone needs technical support"
5. langify comes with it's own switcher that works perfectly fine. langify also supports third party theme switchers. In some cases some themes need manual adjustments to work with langify but this is something that we can do for you.
6. Might repeat myself but langify is using the native shopify translation API and we do not inject much code. shopify is adding the translations on the server-side so the performance should be almost the same. And again: get in touch with us and we'll take care!
P.S.: Noticed that you reviewed other translation apps with almost the same text. What's your intention?
This App Really Works! I am building a website for my company which is required to be translated into 6 different languages. This App gave me what exactly I want and allows my site to be displayed in different languages just by 1 click. Besides, it is really easy and simple to use even for people like me who have no knowledge of coding nor HTML. Also, Johannes is truly helpful. He responded to my questions fast and always gave my a detailed explanation of what he did for my site. Overall, highly recommend this App !
This app is amazing. It is so easy to translate each page and aspect of your website. The support is first class and when I had a slight problem it was sorted for me within an hour by Johannes. We have always wanted to make a separate .fr website so that we have landing pages in French to get more sales in Europe. This app is the solution to that and in my opinion is very cheap.
EDIT / UPDATE >> Johannes is god. We had an issue with our mobile site and even though it was nothing to do with his app helped us find the line of error code and removed it. Cannot recommend enough! - www.putnams.com
