We also love this app! Super easy way for us to offset our carbon impact through shipping and to provide customers with peace of mind when ordering from all over the country. We've used Planet to send packages over 1,732,585 km, since installation. Very affordable, with a simple setup and flexibility in terms of design and communication. I don't get all the hate this app gets in the comments... It's a great and easy way to support the causes we care about and we're thrilled to be part of this program. The app itself has great features and options for how to display our contributions on our site. My only request would be a more condensed view of the impact data as it takes up too much vertical space, which is the only reason we're not making this visible right now.

Implementing Planet has been a meaningful step in making it possible for us to achieve carbon neutrality in our shipping operations. It's part of our broader plan, but every bit helps and given it's ease of use and administration, it's a no-brainer for us.

Update: Bumping to 5 stars because of all the improvements they have made over the last 2 years. The badge is now highly customizable to closely match your branding and theme, with more placement options.

I also love the transparency they've introduced. You can see the exact projects being funded, the credits delivered, and the timeline for each. You can read about each company and they provide you with assets to use when you share the news with customers. Our customers are scientists so the transparency is important.

They recently introduced an option to allow customers to cover it if they so choose - that can reduce your costs as well.

Love the concept but poor implementation into the storefront. The banner is locked to a specific size and style, sits weirdly close to the above section, and you're unable to add small badges in other places on your store. If you want more than just the store owner to feel good about enrolling, make better display/badge options available.

We love this approach to reducing our carbon footprint. Thank you Shopify for sharing our values and making it easy to implement with this app.

Simple and easy way to make our shipping carbon neutral. We are committed to the Millennium plan to have the greatest impact, which costs more than the other plans but is 100% worth it to our small business. It would be helpful to have more options for how the badge displays on our shop (for example, customising colours and appearance). Overall happy! :)

I actually really love the idea of this, and we have offset over 8000 shipments so far. I definitely thing there should be more customisation of the page for the widget. as well as the ability to show how much has been offsetted in the storefront. (ie: X shipments offset this year/month/all time). Love it.

Love that we can buy carbon removal for all of our shipments with this app. Thank you Shopify for investing so much with the Sustainability Fund to make it possible for small companies like ours to have a positive impact. We haven't bought carbon credits because we know they have little to no real impact. This is the real solution we've been waiting for. As other reviews have mentioned it is true that the badge isn't very configurable (yet), as this app was just released. But really that's a minor issue compared to what this app enables for us as responsible corporate citizens. Thank you again Shopify!
