Swap Global

Swap Is a great app that we use across multiple areas including swap protect and are about to launch our first agentic store front.

I'd also give a special shout out to our account manager Eoin, who is always attentive with us and has also introduced us to some other applications that have helped our site.

Swap Global has been key to keeping our US business running. When duties and shipping costs made cross border trading difficult, Swap gave us a straightforward way to keep selling into the US with duties and taxes handled clearly for the customer and for us. The customer service is excellent. Highly recommend to any UK brand shipping internationally.

It's made our shipping to the US so much easier, and smoother for ourselves and the customers. We've only just recently started using it for other countries too, but so far so good!

We have introduced Swap into our business on two fronts - returns and cross border commerce.

Both have been a great success and any issues have been dealt with quickly and efficiently.

We have been fortunate enough to be managed by a very competent and informative Account Manager (Eoin) who has taken it upon himself to understand the mechanisms of our business to contribute and suggest improved methods of working.

After 11 years of running my company, I can honestly say I have never experienced customer service like this.

I had reached a point where rising international shipping costs meant I was only selling in the UK and USA. In fact, I had even stopped selling into the USA because the import duties had become so expensive. The USA is my biggest market so I genuinely thought my business might not be sustainable without it.

Thanks to Swap, I can now ship worldwide with really amazing rates. It has opened up the world for my business in a way I honestly didn’t think was possible.

And the service is just exceptional - my account manager, Eoin, is absolutely brilliant. He is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable and nothing ever feels like too much trouble. When I have a question (there are many!!) or problem, I know I’m in safe hands.

And then there’s Maia in customer services - honestly, WOW. In 11 years of running my company, I have never experienced customer service on this level. Everyone at Swap is so responsive, helpful and genuinely lovely.

Swap also takes care of our international sales tax, which is a HUGE bonus and saves me the expense and hassle of having someone else deal with all of this separately.

And then there’s their returns portal which is also fabulous. It’s something I’ve never had before and it makes the whole returns process so much easier for me and my customers.

For a small business owner, having a company like Swap behind you makes such a difference. They’ve taken so much stress and complexity out of international selling and, more importantly, they’ve allowed me to keep growing my business when I genuinely thought international shipping costs might force me to stop.

Destroyed every system we had established and made it worse.

Prior to swap, the ONLY issue we were having was the disparity between what the customer was being charged for shipping and duties taxes, and what we as the business where being charged. All carriers were performing excellently, no issues with integrations, no issues with B2B customers on shopify plus.

Since introducing swap 2 months ago, they have exploded every pre existing system we had - shipstation no longer working (as it had done for 4 years prior) with incorrect images associated with products (which impacts pick time) to incorrect product descriptions requiring specific customs forms we shouldnt need to complete, and incorrect harmonisation codes requiring additional duties payments - that the customer wasnt charged for, and are incorrect.

If you use shopify plus, and its B2B features - NONE of those features are compatible with swap - we have spent 8 weeks having to rebuild every trade catalogue and now we want to remove swap, we are going to have to UNDO that 8 weeks of work.

Their customer support is AI agents - your account manager is the only person worth speaking to, and they repeatedly cc in the customer support email, who generates simple responses that you have to ignore every time since they have no context on the wider issue.

We have had issues with almost all large trade orders we have shipped in the last 8 weeks - significantly impacting our customer experience of our highest paying customers.

Billing is late, they say they have sent invoices they havent and when you do receive them they are £1000's more than you were expecting and more than what the customers have been charged.

There is not one thing that Swap has got right, and now we are left in a situation where it is hard to undo the damage they have caused - there is no simple uninstall here, everything is a mess and nothing works.

I cannot stress how important it is, to avoid swap entirely - they have jeopardised our reputation with customers and significantly impacted operations.

Really happy with Swap! Great team that are always around to help and has made our international shipping much smoother!
