Wishlist Hero

Two weeks going round the houses with support to apply cosmetic changes which should be built-in customisation features. Cripplingly long development time to add core features such as add to wishlist icons to the header and product grids within a theme, which should also arguably be carried out in-app. The app is built poorly out of the box with inadequate support to put it right.

Crucially access to the wishlist feature using use login was completely broken on mobile so utterly useless if like us you have a 70/30 mobile device to desktop split.

This is really a great app and a nice addition to my store. The free plan is more than adequate for my store at the moment and the upgrade is still affordable if I need more volume. I'm amazed at the level of customisation that is available for a free plan. I took up the offer of custom placement of the icon in my header as it was moving my logo off centre in the mobile view and Yomna responded very quickly and realigned everything perfectly. Thank you to Yomna and to the developers for making this app available free to small businesses like mine :-)

While having this app is helpful in figuring out what customers are shopping/hoping for...It would be helpful to have the following feature:

•Being able to remove items or prevent items from being added to wishlists in the Admin...especially if these items are out of stock because they are not being replenished. Perhaps this could be done by way of tagging certain products.

Great service (wrote in to make some css changes) and by far the easiest wishlist set up for a shopify store with free plan. I searched a whole bunch before landing on Wishlist hero, mainly because of their automatic multi-currency function. Will continue to use and monitor!

Attention, DANGEROUS APP!

I recently installed a Wishlist Hero app for wishlist functionality, hoping it would enhance my store’s user experience. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory, and I ended up giving it a 1-star rating.

The primary issue with this app is its uninstallation process. When you remove the app, it leaves behind significant residual code. This leftover code isn't just an inconvenience—it can actually disrupt your store's functionality. Specifically, the app renames critical files like settings_data.json to settingS_data.json. This is extremely dangerous and can break your store’s styles or theme, making it a nightmare to restore the original look and feel.

Additionally, the program breaks styles, causing visual inconsistencies that can ruin the user experience. It almost feels like revenge for ceasing to be its user. The lack of clear instructions or support for properly removing the app compounds the problem. As a user, I expected a seamless installation and uninstallation process, but this app failed to deliver on that front.

In summary, while this wishlist app might offer some useful features, the risk of it leaving behind garbage in your code, renaming critical files, and breaking styles makes it not worth the trouble. I strongly advise against using this app until these issues are addressed. Look for alternative wishlist apps that ensure a cleaner and safer integration with your Shopify store.

The app won't work. It shows the heart icon but that's it. There is no add to wishlist option as it claims. Only some customers are able to get it to work. It has caused a big headache for me and my customers.

We downloaded this app hoping to add a Wishlist feature that seamlessly goes with our theme. Wishlist Hero was easy to install and set up. Customer support is responsive and helped us add the wishlist button to the header. We are very happy so far with the app.

We're incredibly disappointed with this app. We had a much longer than necessary migration process from our old Wishlist app, the app crashes consistently for lengthy periods, and support will not help you if they can't replicate the issue.

I am not satisfied with this app, it advertises no coding required, however it absolutely requires back end coding, and the customer service is not consistent. I would highly suggest going elsewhere for a wishlist app.

Does exactly what it says and more. A fun little app that delivers and when I updated my theme and needed a little help, they were quick to respond and did exactly what I wanted. I have this app on all 3 of my websites!
