Zipify Landing Page Builder

Zipify Pages is one of the Top 3 Apps on Shopify (along with Zipify OCU)! If you do not have all the Zipify Apps, you are leaving TONS of money on the table. It is nice to find a company that specializes in Landing Pages and Sales Funnels for physical product ecommerce stores. I have used every landing page and funnel builder out there; this one is by far the BEST!

With every builder they have their own drawbacks but Zipify is CONSTANTLY adding new features, upgrading their software, and finding ways to improve. Every week it just keeps getting better and better. The just released 5 new amazing page templates on top of the 24 templates they already offered. You can customize any part of the existing templates they offer, or you can create an entire page from scratch.

I have used many other landing page/ funnel builders, the one I have the most experience with is ClickFunnels. Zipify isn't as customizable as CF is BUT I almost prefer that. CF is so customizable that it is hurting the user experience and the learning curve is HUGE. Be ready to watch hundreds of videos and spending hundreds of hours troubleshooting just to figure out how to get things close to how you want them. It is so much more difficult to use than Shopify and Zipify. With CF it takes me 2-3 hours to design a custom page, while with Zipify I can build a similar page in 30-60 minutes.

Since it is so customizable it makes NOTHING EASY to integrate so everything must be done manually and often you cannot even get things to integrate correctly. This means you must manually add the Facebook Pixel to each page along with manually adding each Pixel event you want to be recorded and how you want it to be triggered. Often you cannot get the FB Pixel to fire the correct events when you want them too and getting the Pixel to record the sale amount is almost impossible. While with Zipify all you need to do is click a box, one and done!

With CF it does not allow you to fully set your own customized URL, you can select what you want the URL to be but the software redirects to whatever URL they decide they want to use with no say from you. Zipify allows you to set the EXACT URL you want, and it doesn't change unless you change it yourself.

Another thing is CF is really not set up for Physical Product Ecommerce, there are so many missing features and functions that you will need to get AppTrends which costs $40-160 (depending on your order volume) so you can integrate CF with Shopify just so you can offer the customer’s order numbers and properly manage fulfillment/shipping for the orders. For me this means to would cost me $420 (AppTrends $120 + CF $300) plus the cost of Shopify just to manage my product orders with CF while I can basically get the same thing with Zipify Pages and OCU for $150 (Zipify Pages $100 + Zipify OCU $50) plus the cost of Shopify. That is more than 50% cheaper with better function.

CF does not integrate correctly with PayPal, so your only option is to take Credit Cards only. If you have sold a lot of products you know that with Credit Cards the risk of being scammed by someone using a stolen credit card is greatly increased. Even if it isn't a stolen credit card there is still an increased chance of receiving a chargeback and good luck winning it even if you have a tracking number that shows it was signed for by the Credit Card owner themselves. With PayPal you have Seller Protection so if you have a valid tracking number that shows delivered then you are covered. Many buyers prefer to use PayPal as well. It is much easier for them to pay with PayPal than having to pull out their Credit Card and manually type it in every time they want to buy something, and what if they don't have their Credit Card on them? If they don’t, they likely won't buy and will forget about you. Good luck getting them to come back.

This is just a few of the MANY differences and drawbacks of other software vs Zipify. I do wish Zipify was slightly more customizable, but I will take function over cosmetics any day of the week. As I said above Zipify is constantly working on making their platform better so if it is missing something you want there is an option in the app to request the feature and there is a good chance, they will add it very soon! They also have an AWESOME support team who will help you with anything you need or any question you may have IMMEDIATELY.

overall its a good app but there are better and cheaper options with more ease and flexibility when building pages. we've move to shogun for now and quite pleased.

I've been super happy with it. Using zipify pages and zipify oneclick upsells you can create some great funnels and get rid of things like clickfunnels. Really simplifies the funnel process!

The app works, but to cancel they made me write to them, then they told me they 'enabled' the cancel setting on my app, which they didn't. They told me to log out, log in .. I'm 30 minutes into it and still haven't been able to cancel! Very anti-customer and a dark pattern.

Zipify pages was recommended to me by someone I trust and honestly I have to say I'm really disappointed. There doesn't seem to be any way to match my font's website, you have to add each produt page manually which is impossible if you have hundreds of products, you have to copy and paste each review manually, you have to upload every single photo and video manually, and there's no way to delete certain text blocks if you're not going to use them. plus the tech support sucks. I created a ticket on Friday afternoon, they responded Monday morning and closed my ticket after a few hours on Monday because I hadn't replied.

You're going to think I work for this company but I promise I don't. I've just been so impressed with the genius behind this app I want to share it with everyone who love having the option of doing their own web work but are frustrated with trying to figure out the theme stuff.

I am constantly challenging the various features of this app by seeing just how many different ways I can use it and even when I think I've seen it all, I discover a feature or features that make me smile. These guys thought of EVERYTHING!

For instance, once you build a page and save/publish it, every element in that page can be re-deployed separately in subsequent pages simply by clicking on it. That alone is a huge deal for me because I don't have to rebuild page segments once I've done. Once you've built several pages, simply use those parts to quickly construct other pages. It makes deploying pages so quick and easy.

I had hired someone to redo my Shopify site because I get lost in all the template customization stuff but after I installed Zipify and built several pages all by myself (Including a test home page) I called my guy and told him to forget about getting a theme and learn the Zipify app (which is not only very intuitive but comes with the best, easiest to interact with Dashboard you'll find) and live help. The "how to videos" are straight forward, super easy to follow and implement.

I use it to build regular pages for my store (and it integrates seamlessly with your store without inserting any kind of code in your current theme), special landing pages for sales and promotions and even built and tested a home page and am just blown away with the simplicity of it. If you can drag, drop, point and click, you can build awesome pages with Zipify pages.

In my opinion, Shopify should be paying Zipify to be in their app store because it is now a selling benefit for Shopify because almost every frustration and limitation I had with Shopify has been virtually eliminated with Zipify pages,

Zipify pages has let me take complete control of my content by putting what I want, where I want it without any "short codes, php, aspca, naacp" or any other geekie alphabet stuff that used to drive me crazy.

The only way you can lose on this app is to not install it. These are good people and you will be amazed by this. Love it.

I've been very frustrated with this app. Lots of work setting up integrations and getting it up running however it still does not work correctly.

Not good if you are on Shopify Plus and have multiple domains. Also if you care about the quality of your imagery this probably won't work for you. We have been doing everything we can to work with them with no workable response. We would go as far to say they were dismissive. We are moving to another tool.

TL;DR Just buy this app. It will exceed all your expectations.

OK -- now the long version...
The videos and laundry list of specs for this app are very clear. You don't need me to tell you what it does. I can first tell you what it doesn't do: It doesn't waste your time -- rather, you can build out well defined and proven page layouts in minutes. Literally, minutes.

I said I wasn't going to laundry list features -- here are a few super-power-user options ZP provides:

1. open graph data, images. If you're lucky, someone is gonna social share your page. You want an image and page description that YOU control associated with the page. ZP handles og tags perfectly.

2. use your site header/footer -- seriously? yes. flawlessly.

3. the insanely tight integration into shopify PRODUCTS. A product CTA action can link to (here's the laundry list folks):
a) a URL
b) Add to Cart and load the Cart page
c) Add to Cart and stay on the same page
d) Add to Cart and direct customer to a specific URL
e) the product page
f) checkout (with or without a quantity selector)
g) another ZP page

and that's just the CTA actions for a product. Other CTA buttons offer links to CRM or email subscriptions, etc...

4. Variants. Yes. Very much aware of and tight integration for products with variants. We sell makeup products (lipstick, eyeliner, etc...) and most of our products come in 4-16 colors... and ZP handles this very nicely.

5. PAGES are actual Shopify PAGES. Hosted on your shopify store. And interact and function with all store scripts, apps and other linked services. Your analytics. Your Facebook pixel. Your popups and overlays. Your loyalty program. And if you want to be fancy, you can bring in dedicated scripts too. NOT on a subdomain!! SEO benefits, etc...

This is turning into a laundry list...

SO are there features or functions that I'd like to see? Sure.... high on my list are store global preferences. If we use the same CTA color for all new buttons, I'd like all new buttons to default to my color -- HOWEVER, ZP as it is remembers your colors so it's a minor thing. I'll update this review when they change this. [EDIT 30-AUG-2017] - using the IMPORT BLOCKS features makes this not all that important.

I'd like to see reusable page blocks (user makes a library of common blocks, fully built out, ready to eat).
[EDIT 30-AUG-2017] I just learned that WE CAN NOW IMPORT blocks from any saved page! This is incredibly powerful! Wow.

I'd like to see alternate images for mobile. A 1200x300px banner looks great on desktop, but I want an alternate image we rendered at 600px square for mobile. I was told this option is coming too. >> [edit] this is possible by making a block and hiding the element for mobile and/or tablet -- so it renders correctly on the target device, but a bit clunky in the design layout to do this. [/edit]

Support has been exceptional. This is a professional product supported by a professional team.

It's not the cheapest page builder on the market, but it's arguably the tightest integration to Shopify PRODUCTS. IF you sell PRODUCTS on Shopify platform, this tool will save you hours and hours and hours. I will update this review when ZP rolls new features.

I know you're gonna go pecking around on my site... and you may not know which pages are built with ZP and which pages are native. That's the point.

[EDIT 21-FEB-2018] With the new BOOSTER PAGE features, and new templates, damn this is powerful. #gamechanger
ZP becomes part of your digital hub connecting your ESP (Klaviyo) with FB messenger ads (ManyChat) and Amazon coupons too. The "booster page" features are simply insanely powerful. Yes, lots of moving parts. ZP connects the dots.

Sorry, but I'm just not impressed by this app. The potential is great. But the underhand tactic of offering a free trial, then keeping all of the most useful templates locked unless we pay up for an expensive premium version... that's not a proper free trial.

If you had all of your templates available I might have continued with this - after all, if they're really that good, I'd see results and wouldn't have a problem with subscribing forever - right? So why the dirty tricks?
