APO Product Options, Variants

We used another unlimited options app for about six months, and it worked fairly well most of the time, and had most (but not all) of the same features as this one. But the previous app was unstable and the developer stopped supporting it, although it still worked on our site after abandonment. During the period of non-support, I looked at other "product options" apps, and just couldn't find one that offered everything our old app offered, so I just stuck with the old one. But then the old app stopped working completely last week!!

So I went into panic mode and started looking for a replacement. Fortunately I found this app and saw that it had all the features I wanted. But my store couldn't take orders at all, so I needed to get it installed FAST! I started working through the installation instructions and although they seemed pretty straightforward, there were a few differences between Mageworx's instructions and our theme's file structure/names/content. So I contacted Mageworx support, and fortunately they were available to install it almost immediately. Then I spent the better part of the day setting up all our options in the new app.

Boy am I glad the old app stopped working and forced me to make a change!! This app has great features, is more intuitive and easier to set up than the old one, and has worked flawlessly since installation. And we had a couple of minor formatting issues with our theme that Mageworx fixed within a matter of hours. And they even tweaked the app specifically for our site to get the behavior we wanted (especially on mobile). Couldn't be happier with the app AND the developer's support! Very highly recommended!!

While the app seems to work OK - their install was one disaster after another. Incomplete install, multiple reminders to fix, broken cart, broken product pages and our cart and products are still broken. Have gone elsewhere for a fix and complete install

This app is the only one that offer a solution to the product option we wanted to provide on our website, which was very specific (surprised it had this functionality!). Support has been great and very responsive. Only reason given 4 stars is the product option take 1-2 seconds to buffer onto the product page. If it was instant, I would have given 5 stars.

This app clones the all of listing variations and you get hundreds of copies. So messy. It can not be used with with spesific product discount. And its very hard to use eg. Facebook marketing because of copied listings. Instagram-Facebook shop feature is useless too...
UPDATE: Newer version is still not avaliable. Few weeks, few months... It almost a year :) Cloned products are still a nightmare. No solution for this.

One of the worst app and worst support. Always some issues which affect sales directly.

This is a great app if are NOT planning on creating DISCOUNTS on select products. This is due the the fact that any options you create that have an added charge will not be included at checkout. And for that serious flaw, we will be removing the app and choosing one that works with are $chargeable added options.

Horrible experience with this app. We spent countless hours and lots of money installing and setting up hundreds of variant options, only to discover a critical feature limitation. You cannot use any discount codes with this app except for storewide codes. Want to run a sale on just one product, or one collection? Can't do it. This is a dealbreaker and we had to abandon the project after so much time and money. Also, the way the app functions, it creates a new product anytime someone purchases a new variant combination. This means managing the back end of your store will become very messy and cumbersome as you will have hundreds of "placeholder" products generated by the app. No help or refund from the developper for this, even though we are not able to use the app in our store. The discount code limitation should be clearly disclosed, as it is a critical function for many stores. The variant options LOOK nice, but the the feature limitations make it unusable.

This app frequently breaks and doesn't charge people for extras, even after they installed it for me

Update--App is working better BUT I have wrote several times about a new issue and havent received any response. The customer service and help sucks so bad.

Now--If a customer adds something with the custom options added, but then removes it from the cart, the custom option pricing still stays and does not give them a choice to remove it. --Not only that, but if the customer has an account and they sign in a week later, the cost IS STILL THERE! So it NEVER goes away until they check it out. It is extremely frustrating. Currently looking for a new app to use.

SOOO aggravated with this APP. It is so unreliable. I have been writing them for over a week and they haven't even made an attempt to fix the problem! DON'T even bother trying this app!
