SEO HERO AI Alt Text Generator

I wasn't sure what to expect from this app and had moderate expectations. I signed up for the Free plan to test it out and was actually *quite* pleasantly surprised with its abilities. This review is based on my experience with the free plan and will be upgrading to a paid version to access additional features. I will be sure to update my experience once done testing that out as well.

UPDATE: I still enjoy this app, but downgraded from 4 to 5 stars due to some simple functionality updates that the developers should include that would make this much better for its users:

1. Quickly accessing newly uploaded photos is a pain. Adding alt text via the app for newly uploaded products is difficult (when not every single one of the photos on your website has alt text via the app). Addition of a way to filter photo or arrange them so that newest photos are at the top would save a ton of time.

2. To edit the generated alt text you need to go into the product, find the image and manually edit it. Allowing one to edit the ai-generated alt text from directly within the app would, again, save a ton of time and be so much more efficient.

We noticed that our product images were lacking of Alt text and this was having an impact on SEO. We tried a few solutions, but then we decided to use this App because it combines a very user-friendly interface, with a very powerful AI-based core system. The 'bulk edit' feature is just a life safer, and we were truly impressed for the level of accuracy and detail that the App had when editing more than 800 images all in one go. Highly recommended!

I have generate over 5,000 alt texts for my images. I transferred my site over from Wix and the alt text did not come over. I was kind of panicking - then I came across this app. The descriptions are better than what I was writing. I still create them as I add images - but I don't worry if I forget or don't write good ones. This app will also go back and clean up the older descriptions as well.

I have over 1,000 images on my site, and writing alt text for all of them would have taken forever. I looked into several tools and SEO HERO AI Alt Text Generator consistently came up as one of the top options. After testing it myself, I’m genuinely impressed. The accuracy, speed, and overall quality are outstanding. It saved me hours of work and improved my SEO instantly. Definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable alt text solution.

As an agency managing 50+ Shopify stores, finding an affordable AI alt text solution was crucial. This app's secret recipe formula that combines image context analysis with custom SEO keywords is genius. The accessibility compliance features help our clients meet WCAG standards while improving search engine optimization. The bulk image processing and automatic alt text generation for new uploads streamline our workflow. At $15/month for 500 alt texts, it's incredibly cost-effective compared to competitors charging triple the price.

This AI alt text generator completely transformed my Shopify SEO strategy! I had over 3,000 product images without proper alt text descriptions, and manually writing SEO-optimized alt tags would have taken months. The bulk alt text processing feature saved me countless hours while boosting my Google Images visibility. The AI-generated descriptions are incredibly accurate and naturally incorporate my brand keywords. My organic traffic from image search increased by 40% in just two months. Best SEO tool investment I've made for my online store!

The app works for small alt text edits and for bulk changes up to about 150 images. Beyond that it becomes unreliable. it takes to loo long more than hours and does not run in the background reliably. Credit renewals are not transparent and no renewal date is shown. Support has been unhelpful and did not follow up on my questions.

Amazing app, I've tried several other alt text generator apps but this one came out best :). What I really like is that you can make a combination of the product title AND a descriptive text about the image through the AI image analyzer, so it works best for SEO and accessibility. There are several other settings you can adjust, like the length of the text, tone of voice etc. Overall very happy!

This app was very handy. It saved us hundreds of hours of manually adding alt text for our thousands of photos. Customer service was very helpful as well!
