Ablestar Bulk Product Editor

This is one of, if not the, absolute best apps I've used on Shopify. Very broad range of capabilities that really expedites the time spent working on and changing the website. I used it for temporarily updating sale prices, bulk product editing, and more. Thank you Ablestar!

This app is easy to use, efficient, and reliable. It saves me valuable time by removing the need for complicated exports, manual edits in text editors, or adjustments in Excel before re‑importing. Instead, everything can be managed directly within the app in a smooth and straightforward way. For my daily work, this means simpler processes, less effort, and a cleaner workflow. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a practical solution that just works.

Had rather niche issue but not only was it resolved, the devs actually updated to implement some more features alongside the fix. Not sure if I was the one to prompt such an implement, but regardless, excellent service and an excellent app.

It's so handy, and I use it almost daily. The only downside is the price, but I can't find a better alternative, if I'm honest. Worth it if you have a few extra $$$

Editor is not able to edit Image alt text of existing images.
These are my experiences with the support of this company.
I asked them roughly 5 times after that issue. Every conversation with them ended like that - it should work, please send us the file for testing. They have done nothing with the file and told me that it should work. After explaining them over and over what I want to do, they send it to discuss it with the team. After days I got an answer that it works now. No explanation what to do nothing.
And guess it still does not work...
Wasting hours with the support, and still not able to add image alt text to existing pictures. Thanks EU regulations!

**What worked well:**

* **Intuitive bulk-editor interface**: Picking a tag filter and choosing “Set text to value” is straightforward.
* **Accurate preview and reporting**: The app clearly shows which SKUs you’ve “edited” and gives confirmation messages.
* **General metafield support**: I could bulk-set other custom fields without issue.

**Where it fell short:**

* **Google Shopping fields not updating**: Although the app reported success, the values never appeared in the **Google Shopping – Custom Label 0/1** metafields.
* **Lack of namespace clarity**: It wasn’t obvious whether “Custom Label 0” referred to Shopify metafields or Google-channel fields, leading to confusion.
* **No visible error**: There’s no warning when a write operation silently fails on the `google_shopping.custom_label_*` namespace.

**Suggested improvements:**

1. **Explicit Google-Shopping field mapping**: Clearly label fields with the full namespace (`google_shopping.custom_label_0`) and surface it in the bulk-editor.
2. **Error reporting**: If a write to a Google-channel metafield fails, show an error or flag it in the preview.
3. **Sample verification**: Offer a “Verify in Google channel” step so I can confirm values made it into Merchant Center fields.

I approved the \$30 plan hoping to streamline Google feed prep, but since custom labels didn’t actually update, it wasn’t usable for our biggest use case. If you can address the above points, I’d be happy to give Ablestar another try!

Essential App for Bulk Product & Variant Edits!

Ablestar Bulk Product Editor has made managing our Shopify store so much easier. It handles both product and variant-level content uploads effortlessly, saving us hours of manual work. The interface is user-friendly, and importing updates via CSV is smooth and reliable.

We love the preview and undo features—they give us peace of mind when making large updates. If you’re managing a big catalog, this app is a must-have. Highly recommended!

This has made my life so much easier. We have 550 products with 75 variants each, so it goes without saying that being able to edit in bulk is a lifesaver!

We needed to update the status of every "draft" product in our system (1000s) and also update inventory quantities to zero at the same time and this worked flawlessly. We did not even scratch the surface of all the possibilities with this app, look forward to using it in our store

Fantastic app, we use this daily to update inventory from our supplier using csv spreadsheet edits.
The support is even better, had a query as to how I could identify products on our store that are not on the supplier csv and Nicolle and Andres were brilliant, the first suggestion did not work but they came up with another idea which solved my problem.
