DOOFINDER ‑ Search & Discovery

DooFinder has been a massive improvement in our search bar. It provides great image-based results, with lots of suggestions to help customers find what they are looking for. I use the stats on what customers are looking for to quickly improve listings and information, as well as what new items to add.
The staff at DooFinder were extremely helpful and trained me on using the app. Rocco went above and beyond to make sure we were set up for success!

We wanted to sell more of our product range rather than just the products which our customers found us through on Google Shopping. Doo finder has helped us do just that..making it easier for us to promote products that we want and products that the customer may not know exist using Doo Finders AI product recommendations......other than that their customer care team is second to none. Lennon in particular is very attentive and will help make any technical changes to optimise your Doo Finder.

TOTALLY HAPPY! I couldn't recommend these guys enough! Great app. Before I installed it, I regularly missed sales due to misspelled searches. With this app, it's a non-issue. Also, I love how it suggests products once you simply hit the search bar. I wish there was a bit more transparency on some stats, but I was promised that my feedback will be addressed. Also, I want to mention outstanding customer service. Mario, the representative that was working with me, was nothing but responsive, helpful, courteous, and patient – working with me around my schedule. Thank you Mario! You sold it:)

I have installed DooFinder and am incredibly excited for the type of statistics that I will be getting. I've already gotten great info from the trial, but after a month or 2 I should have info that will guide my purchasing and how to better name my items, and what maybe I should consider stocking. Currently using Doofinder on two Shopify stores. The search bar is really nice, I love the way it works. Most importantly, the tech support is top notch right from the start. Carl was great, set up everything for me, he made sure everything was set up correctly before leaving me. Many apps that I have are incomplete because of my lack of knowledge and lack of support. This is not the case with this company. They run their business the way a business should be run right from the start so I can get the most out of the app. Absolutley love the app and Doofinder as of this writing. This app is great if you have a large number of items available as the standard search bar which comes with Shopify is just not effective enough. With this app, after a couple of types in your search bar items instantly start to display which are related to your search query. The back end of the app is also very useful as it keeps stats on everything so you can see how many times it has been used, how many sales have come direct from the search bar, what customers have typed in and also search queries which didn't display any results is useful if you wish to add new items to your store. The team at Doofinder are fantastic and will happily make any changes you require from layout to size of your search results page. Susmit in particular has been extremely helpful with overseeing my account.
The 30 day free trial is a good idea if you are in the need of a new search app to just try this out but as mentioned at the start if your store has a lot of products then this search bar is very effective.

This app cheated the search count of our website. Charging extra cost for mobile version is dishonest. We are contact but no response from Search bar & filters team.

STOP NOW - In almost a decade of using shopify I've never written a review. This is the first time I've felt so strongly to do so - listen up. The pricing is less than transparent. Every single time the search updates it counts as multiple requests and out-of-the-box it updates *on every single key stroke*. The whole app appears to be designed to maximize your requests and force you into a higher plan. When I spoke to customer support they had to get a second person to weigh in on how to reduce these requests and that person said "they weren't supposed to say it". Even after disabling all the features arguably designed to maximize your usage as suggested by the "rogue representative" there's still constant drains. I entirely disabled the automatic product synchronization and still got over 100 requests counted for product synchronization for the day. This is before we even discuss the black-hat practices of the search itself. For the 44 searches performed yesterday 1,144 "requests" were made. Every single search on your website will count as a minimum of 26 "requests", so when you're looking at pricing take the plan you want and move two steps up, if not three. This $100+ app is being replaced by a $15 app that does the same thing with clear pricing based on product catalog size.
