Update: We need to add a few points while keeping our original review below. After our 1-star review, Lewis listened to our concerns and engaged with us. He acknowledged the issues and said he would work on improving the app. We also hope he will make the pricing fairer. In addition, he refunded multiple plan fees we had paid. We have now translated our site using another app, but due to Lewis’s goodwill and courtesy, we are raising our rating from 1 star to 3 stars.

It’s a complete trap! Every step is designed to make you spend more money.
After signing up, we upgraded the plan and paid extra, yet we couldn’t even translate two languages. All it does is send requests through the ChatGPT API to translate.
Also, when we reported bugs, they said it was a priority and even promised a refund for the credits and fees we used — but there’s still no action. They've been ignoring the ticket for 4 days as if it doesn’t exist.

Regarding the issue with manually translating Loox Review: we carefully reviewed your report and installed Loox on a test store to replicate the problem. So far, our engineers haven’t been able to reproduce the issue — manual translation and publishing seem to work as expected in our tests.
That said, we’re continuing to monitor and improve compatibility with third-party apps like Loox.
We’ve also reached out to you privately to follow up and make things right.

After updating my Shopify theme, I encountered some issues. I decided to uninstall and then re-install Locales.AI, which resolved everything—now the app works perfectly again.
I genuinely like Locales.AI as an app, but the customer service leaves room for improvement. When problems are simple, support is helpful and responsive. However, for more complex issues, they tend to go silent and rarely provide proactive updates, such as notifying users when certain features are temporarily down.
Overall, the app itself is excellent, but the support experience could be much better. As the saying goes, there’s no such thing as a free lunch.

This is an amazing app! A very easy to use app. Translations are done really fast and smooth, in my case, less than 20 mins. It could have been faster as I have spent some time to check out the app during the process. The Support team is incredible, quick and efficient and patient. Excellent translation tool with great support.
Locales has been a real asset. It's easy to use, gives a clear breakdown of translation costs as we scale, and the support is responsive even on weekends. Highly recommend.
Very easy to use. Clean interface and fast customer service. Translated my entire shop to Swedish and German in a very short time. Note: If you have special items that might not get translated 100% correctly, do a small test first and then add custom instructions if needed. Otherwise you have to comb though the translations and sort them out, or spend a lot of credits to fix your mistake.
