PC ‑ Custom Product Options

Updating my previous review made on June 6, 2016 . . .

I’ve had a five-star rating up for this app since i downloaded it over 10 years ago. I’ve updated the review and downgraded the rating to only one star - as low as the rating system allow. Not even deserving of 1 star in my experience over the last year. This app has cost us a lot of lost business and lost time trying to recover business this app has made a mess of.

In 2016, the app worked perfectly. If there was ever an issue I was easily able to contact Justin, the cofounder of the original company. Fast forward to today and this has been the most expensive app we have had in our 10-year Shopify history in terms of lost sales and productivity. Countless thousands of dollars.

With increasing frequency, orders have come through that only specify the fabric selected - with no information on the product page about the related customizations. This leaves us a task to contact the customer. Recently, installed customization options would spontaneously disappear from related fabrics. We would find out when customers would start emailing us "how can I order this custom item when it just shows a fabric and an ADD TO CART button? No place to enter size, length, etc." We tried countless times to reattach them, and they would eventually disappear again. Hundreds of our man hours lost on this glitch alone.

We're done with this app. Their "team" cannot figure it out or fix it. For years now. Only getting worse. We have finally fully migrated to a new customization app that is much more modern, intuitive and trouble free.

UPDATE 4/15/25 I have to say, over the years we have worked through many ups and downs with the Dev team at PC. This app is not what it used to be.

I am not sure if the App sold or just got rid of all the original developers that could do quick fixes in minutes but recently we have experienced more and more glitches compared to past years using PC. Previously although inconvenient the old team at PC was super responsive and fixed things right away.

Today when we were getting help from the Product Customizer team on a glitch that was happening with 1 of our 30+ Customizable products the attempted fix instead removed all our customizer options on our site, we let them know right away and since have emailed for help multiple times and nobody has gotten back to us so currently our site is not usable to order on, and we have a loss of income as well as frustrated customers. After years of recommending this at this current level of service I cannot stand behind our previous years of 4 and 5 star reviews.
UPDATE 12/3/2024
Experienced a glitch with recent PC update that was launched affecting our sales during busy Holiday sales season but through the chat they fixed super fast thank YOU!!! Wish they sent a note to users when they plan to do an update instead of us just randomly finding out when customers cant order.

UPDATE 10/24/2024
Multiple - Outages and issues - customizations not consistently working, customers operating from multiple browsers having issues. Was told that we needed to update the Shopify Theme we use so we did and with some help from the PC Dev Team (Aman) it is now working

We had a brief outage and Deep and team were quick to address it and get the issue resolved. They had it resolved within Half Hour. They responded to my initial email within minutes. Really appreciate this team.

Initial Review 5/2015 The customer service support offer by Kevon and Aman has been top-notch. They are usually pretty on it both in terms of response time and ability to make small changes within the app. The only reason for not full five star- some of the features of the app seem to work intermittently and is very glitchy, this has cost us heavily in terms of sales when the customizer is down.

Tremendous customer service experience. The app does exactly what I hoped for, but the communication and help far exceeded what I expected. My life would be easier if this type of support existed for all things. I cannot think of a better experience in customer service that I have had!

Lasandra was a big help in getting my products organized. She was so patient with all my questions. She deserves the 5 stars!
