This app definitely does what it says, and once its all configured it works great!
However, it took a bunch of trial and error and time with support to make it work the we intended. I would give it a 5 star rating if they fixed their documentation so it was clear.
Here are a couple of things we learned:
1) If you are going to use this for handling fees or fees that apply to every product, then you'll be using the HIDDEN FEE type, to make it work correctly you need to make sure to click the "DEFAULT" button for every one of the hidden fee type or they won't be applied, even when you rule would appear to do so. This is no where in the documentation, but should be.
2) You cannot affect the sort order or where the fees are shown in the cart, so they are not group or placed in alphabetical order. This means that the cart looks a little random. We wanted the fees to be shown after the products they applied to, but were told no can do! It really doesn't make any sense, and I'm sure if you could edit the code for your cart you could figure it out.
Other than these the app works well and does as its advertised!

Five stars. Burgeon Beer Co. is a craft brewery, and we allow our customers to order beer online for in-store pickup. We use a different POS than the Shopify option for onsite sales, so there previously wasn't a way for us to add gratuity for our to-go staff as an option at check-out. This app was a perfect work-around, and tech support is SUPER fast, attentive, and thorough. Def recommend!

downloaded the app because it said "paypal" in the gallery so i assumed it can add paypal fees for customers who chose to pay with paypal but it cant. didnt work for me

We are sorry to hear that our app doesn't cover your requirements. However, Shopify doesn’t allow adding extra charges for specific payment methods, because the payment method is chosen during the checkout only.
Our app can add a processing fee that will be applied to the orders matching the available product and cart conditions. Unfortunately, the payment method chosen during the current user’s checkout flow is not something that Shopify API allows to retrieve by 3rd party apps.

I need an App to add extra handling fees at checkout, this was perfect app for me and it does not require me to subscribe to shopify high price plan or a yearly plan and I really appreciate their customer support " Javid "
Later I needed to modify my product page to remove express checkout, they have an easy chat button i used and the AI was trying to help me but it was difficult for me to understand how to do this tech things, immediately Javid noticed that I was struggling with AI, so he jumped into the chat and within 2 min the problem was solved, I don't give 5 stars to any app, but honestly he earned it.

The app loading takes a long time. sometimes 15-20 seconds. I would love to be able to charge different amounts per state. Doesn't work in the Shopify Shop. which is a big deal.

As a rule, the app loads quite fast, especially if you are using "fixed"-priced ones. Percent-based ones may take a bit longer to load as it's required to calculate the price in the background and cache the fee.
Also, the performance can be affected by other scripts loading in the cart.
You can create several separate fees and make them work for different states using the "Locations" setting.
As for the "Shop" app by Shopify, it doesn't allow integrations. We would be happy to make our app work there, but we cannot do that.
