Deceptive practices.
We have tried canceling our subscription after being billed the first month. Instead of canceling, they automatically upgraded our account to a pro account. Subsequent requests to switch this to the free plan or 29$ plan via their contact page and through the subscription page (until them billing us was resolved) was met with acknowledgement only to find they've been charging us this higher rate for months now.
We understand that uninstalling an app from your store can be complicated and are sorry you did not successfully uninstall Sales Pop when you first reached out to us in February. We did try following up with you after noticing that you disabled Sales Pop, but did not uninstall. As we do not have access to your Shopify Admin and are not able to uninstall for you, your subscription remained active. Sales Pop will auto-upgrade you to a higher plan tier if you exceed your session limit unless you disable auto-upgrade. Many of our subscribers find this useful as they do not want Pops to stop displaying if sessions are exceeded.

Hello - We have ensured that your free trial will convert to the Free starter plan when your free trial ends in 2 days. You will not be charged at all for Sales Pop!

If you want to cancel Sales Pop you will need to uninstall it from the Apps section of your Shopify store. Again, I want to assure you that you will not be charged when your Free Trial ends.
SalesPop is a great app! My customers can see who actually purchased a product or added it to their cart! Great for giving customers ideas on what to purchase. SalesPop is a great way of converting first time website views into customers.

This app is a scam. Point blank.
They hide a feature called to auto bump you to the next highest plan if you go above the amount of views on your current plan. But those numbers are no where near accurate. I had a day with 0 views on my website but this app is showing 972 views for the same time frame.
I signed up for the $29 a month option. I didn't see the auto update selection was defaulted to on. But I was moved to the $129 a month 30k a month option. I haven't even broke 1k views on my website for the whole year.
Then the FAQ shows you how to cancel, but when I go to that screen, the selection for cancelling shown in the FAQ isn't even an option for me to select.
Save yourself the headache and the scam. Don't.
Update Dec 12: This situation has been resolved. We are trying to contact the store owner via email but haven't received a reply.

this app was uninstalled in december still getting charged in january for the app thats not being used
I understand that the way Shopify bills for apps can be confusing at times. Your last charge for using Sales Pop was at the end of November and payment for that charge was never collected. When you uninstall an app or close your Shopify store any outstanding charges are not cancelled and will still be on your billing statement when you reopen your store.
All apps on Shopify must meet strict billing standards established by the platform and we are not continuing to charge you after you cancelled your subscription to Sales Pop. We also issued you a refund for your October charge as requested after you contacted us via Shopify.
Super helpful and very quick to respond in helping to customise for our store. Would definitely recommend using this app
