SC Product Options

I have been using this app for a few years now and it has always been a great way for me to add the many options we offer to our products. The app allows me to add items at no extra cost for choice of application or to add items with extra costs. Some of my products have 10+ options added in. The app is Great! A few months ago we made some upgrades to our theme and had some SEO work done and I noticed that my site began showing the hidden options for our Bold app in our search bar. I reached out to Bold and Dylan immediately responded and took care of the issue and when he wasn't sure on the final fix he escalated the issue to the next level and they promptly fixed the issue. The site is working and the app is working and all is good. Thank you Dylan and Bold for a great team and a great app!

I'm giving the Product Options App Five Stars for having excellent customer service and response so far. I'm still in the installation phase and will update the review again shortly.

Options are something I wish would have been built into shopify instead of variants in the first place but since it wasn't, I'm glad Bold Apps gave us an alternative. The price is $19.99 a month for the option with price variants which I need.

Installation is tricky because you have to edit liquid code on 5+ different pages. It is hard to expert level. Instead, just pay the $50 and have them do it for you. Don't risk messing up your store and doing it yourself.

I'm still in the process of installing the app and will update it again. But five stars so far for the excellent customer support. Thanks Jay.

I installed this app excited to add additional custom options to our store. I was disappointed at first because the options did not match well with my store's theme. I was also frustrated with working with their chat customer service. I was asking them to help me figure out how to change the look of the options to match my theme. The person I was chatting with was not very helpful and kept referring me to change the display settings. Thankfully they referred me to someone else, David, who had more knowledge about fixing the cosmetic issue of having the options match my website. Thank you, David, for helping me, I am now very happy that the options look more seamless with the branding and look of our online store.

I installed this app initially with the basic product options and was very impressed with it. I paid to have the code implemented for me, it took a couple of days and I received a nice email confirming it had been done. My requirements grew and I upgraded to the advanced version. Again, I had the code implemented and it was quick and painless. Another nice email.
From a functionality perspective, I sat through the video and refreshed my memory by watching it again a few months on. It's logical, easy to use and looks pretty good on the site too. I'm looking forward to getting my teeth into the additional functionality the advanced version offers.
One thing I'm really excited about it having the ability for customers to upload an image. Can't wait for this function to go live on the site.

We choose Shopify for it's combination of simplicity and being able to scale up if need be. (fingers crossed) Well Shopify's variants do not play well in the computer sector. We wanted the ability to add customization to all of our products we sell. Shopify does allow this but it sees each variant as a separate product, where you have to add a qty for each variant. That does not work for us and would have been a mess.
Bold's Product Options added the flexibility of adding the Options the way we wanted and still allowing us to use Shopify's inventory management system.

Thank you Bold Team for your quick response time every time we needed it!
You kept us from considering other platforms due to Shopify's weak customization of the products!

Bravo to Bold!

We make semi-custom clothing and our basic shirt comes in more than 3000 options. This app is one of the only reasons we are able to use Shopify. Also, since our products are made to order, it is imperative that we are able to export orders to our database as well as Shopify POS - including all the options. This was the ONLY app we could find that allowed us to do so. (Using Xporter by eShopAdmin - they work perfectly together!)

My only suggestions would be to enable me to to duplicate an entire Option Set because I have some products that have a single difference from another product and I had to set up a new Set from the beginning. You can add more than one product to the same Option Set if all the options are the same.

They did the install and have been very responsive to questions. Do not be put off by the price! It truly is the best Options app out there.

OK so I am on the highest paid plan, but all I have to say is that my website could not function without it. I have many variants and hundreds of products. This app allowed me to add this options to the products simultaneously! This saved me months of work trying to add options to each product which is what you could only do with Shopify. Also I can add different options for specific collections. I also have an option on every product with delivery dates that my customers can choose along with price variations for the weekend deliveries. I have 3-4 months worth of dates, everyday I delete one date, which means my customers cannot order for the next day. This is so brilliant because it can happen across my entire product range in a minute! I absolutely love Product Options by Bold. Just check out one of my products and you'll see the many options to choose.

We have been using the Product Option by Bold app for nearly a year. We are a large eComm site (for women’s fashion) with over 10,000 active product SKUs. Most of these products have very complicated option requirement as we heavily customize these products as per customer’s needs. The options a customer selects triggers a cascade of additional option because of the type of customizations we allow.

We looked at and evaluated a number of apps and came to a conclusion that no other app can really support the types of customization needs we have.

What was specially important for us is their customer service. The went over and above in solving a obscure need we had. The team seemed to be working round the clock on our ticket and handled each communication very very professionally.

I would HIGHLY recommend this team not just for their product but for awesome customer support

Alina and the support crew have helped me out every single time I've had an issue with the install on both of my stores. The app does what I need it to do and the UI is easy to understand. Reasons it's not a full five-star app: It is challenging to make the app work correctly with an AJAX cart. I've had the BOLD team do the code install several times and once or twice it seems like it stops working for unknown reasons. This is offset by the killer support team at BOLD. The other issue is customizability. The display settings are rather limited and while the app has a field for custom CSS, it would be really cool if you could do it through the UI. Silver lining: I've learned a lot about CSS by trying to get my options to look the way I want them to. Still not quite there but I'm getting closer! If there were a few more display options in the app it would be five stars easily.

Due to the nature of our product option and variants this is the only way that we could have made it work. The app is powerful in giving you unlimited drop down's and variant options not available on the regular shopify yet it's incredibly easy to use. The premium features allows access to the conditional logic, this again is an incredible feature that we are using on our entire store and makes it for a more pleasant shopping experience. We seriously were thinking of closing our store down cause we couldn't find any better way to display our products with all it's endless variation and options. This app gave us a way. We ran into a few small hiccups during the installation process for our theme, but was quickly resolved through their excellent customer service.

So stop reading and get this app worth it.

Future feature request: It would be nice if some of the option can be linked to a specific product image.
