a change made to the app cauld it to change authorization, and the feature did not work. the app developers did not send a notice regarding the issue and steps needed. not a professional approach to app developmnt and rollout!!!
Hi there! Thank you so much for sharing this feedback!
There was a recent change in permissions needed to use the app, and there would have been a banner requesting access to certain types of store data which you could approve to proceed. In order for us to advise further on the issue you describe with a specific feature after doing so, please do feel free to contact our support team via https://shopify.link/vRn and they can assist further. Once they have exact details, they will also be able to relay your feedback about notice given before changes are made to our development team. Thanks so much!

This is the worst barcode app I have ever experienced, and I have been in retail for 21 years. You cannot put text on any jewelry/barbell label I have to HAND WRITE, all the text because it SAYS there is NO room which is patently a LIE because I CAN hand write the text. Also sometimes the text works on the regular square labels and sometimes it does not. Sometimes the text fits and sometimes the text does not and it is the SAME amount of characters from one label to another! Some times the font size is the same on two labels and will be normal on one and sometimes it is randomly huge on the other. And NOW they think it important to TELL us with huge yellow warning flashing banners when we go to print that the text will NOT fit on the label and I am like YEAH I KNOW! That is why I hand write them and this is also not a feature you can turn off! I have never met such a stupid program in my life!! Come on SHOPIFY what the HELL????? And you wonder at the 2.3 stars!? DUDE! Stop annoying every one and make a proper labeling system even if it is basic. The warning banners are provoking and superfluous! The text limitation has nothing to do with my label printers because I use the same ones I used with Lightspeed and they had no problem printing on the labels.
Thank you for the detailed review, and for sharing what 21 years in retail tells you a label tool should do. Having to hand write text on jewelry labels, seeing the same text fit one label and not the next, and font sizes changing between labels makes printing harder than it should be. For context, these may be limitations of the label printers themselves. There may be other label printing apps that can help with further customizations. Your point that the fit warning can't be turned off is clear too. I've shared all of this with our team. If you'd like help with a specific label, our team is available at help.shopify.com/support.
Since yesterday, all of my labels are printing with a HUGE barcode instead of it being smaller and the wording being bigger. I cannot find a resolution through Shopify or Retail Barcode Labels app.

The new default to printing one label of every product is a horrible updated and really interrupts workflow. If I only one variant is needed, I now have to manually adjust the rest. This is extremely disappointing and needs to be resolved immediately.
Thanks for your feedback. This default change has changed workflows for merchants who need labels for specific variants only. Your feedback has been shared with our team, and we recognize the urgency. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. For help, visit help.shopify.com/support.
WHHYYYY did we change the font/size/template of the labels? There is no selection of fonts for us to select from, and the new one today looks too large for my tags I've been using for two years! The font is thick and bulky, limiting to even fewer characters on the title line. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK.
and I agree, the default to one label prior to printing is annoying.
It wasn't broke, so please put it back. :(
Sincerely, this old lady that struggles with changes.

The new default to printing one label of every product is really interrupting workflow. If I only need one variant, I now have to manually zero out all the rest, and sometimes there are multiple products with many variants, and it is time consuming. Thank you for your help in restoring it to default to zero please.
Hi there. Thanks for your review. We understand how a change like this can disrupt your workflow, especially with many variants. Your feedback has been shared with our team. We appreciate you taking the time to explain the impact. To have our Support team look into your issue more closely, visit help.shopify.com/support.
The quantity use to default to 0 and now it defaults to 1. So now we have to delete every single variant we don't want to print to 0 it out. Why did this change? Please change default qty of labels per variant to 0.
Hi there! Thank you so much for sharing this feedback!
I have passed that feedback along to our development team, and really appreciate you flagging this. In the meantime, when selecting products on the **Add products** page in the app, you can untick any variants under the selected product you don't need labels for. That way, when you get to the next page to enter the correct number of labels you need, you won't need to remove/zero out any, as they have already been excluded. And please do feel free to reach out to our Retail support team via https://shopify.link/vRn if you have any further feedback you'd like to share, at any time. Thanks so much!

Echoing everyone else- please make the default back to zero without having to click several times. It takes so much more time for our team

Prima app, alleen weinig opties voor label maten. Euro teken staat dicht tegen getal aan. Wil een spatie.
I try to use the larger size templates but it wont scale properly. It seems like it can only create barcode that are 2x1 and when i try to bump it up to 3.5 or 4 it will not create a barcode to fit it. Why offer the larger size as a template if it can not create a barcode to fit?
UPDATE: It's a helpful app for creating barcodes but it needs to be able to support a larger label for carton barcode creation.
Thank you for this feedback. The Retail Barcode Labels app supports specific label sizes for each printer brand - the largest Zebra option is 3"x2" and DYMO is 1 1/8"x3 1/2". Custom sizes aren't currently available in the app. For larger labels, a third-party barcode app from the App Store may offer more flexibility with template sizes. Your feedback helps us understand what merchants need.
