Glad it's helping! For new product price tips, the tip is based on prices of similar products across Shopify. It pulls from products in your same category, market, and price range. If a tip feels off or to share ideas to improve, click share feedback in the app.

Thanks for your feedback! This is exactly what we sought out to do in Markdowns. We want to help merchants quickly spot slower moving items and act on time with pricing to drive sales and capture margin.

Thanks for the direct feedback. That’s a real gap in markdowns and markups since those tips use available inventory as a signal.

We acknowledge that markdowns and markups aren't the best fit for merchants heavily using Shopify Collective products where stock levels aren’t the right driver for price changes. Instead, new product price tips may be a better fit for you. We offer price tips for your newly added active products based on how similar products across Shopify are priced as a gut check of your price range and customer expectations.

Thanks for raising this. We've recently improved price tips to account for tax inclusive pricing. If your selling prices include taxes (ex. VAT, GST, consumption), each price tip now works from what you keep after tax, not what customers pay for accurate margin calculations. We invite you to check it out and let us know what you think. Consider updating your review to let us know how the new tips work for your store.

Thank you for your suggestion. We this information in the app already. To view your stock / inventory count by product, all you need to do is hover over your Markdown or Markup price tip to see available inventory across variants.
