QuickBooks Online

I have for some years been using QBPOS for my retail business and later had to move to Shopify. Recently I needed an accounting software that would synch with Shopify and I decided to try QBO. I was able to navigate my way around QBO owing to the fact that they have tons of online information that I was able to read. QBO also have wonderful support agents that were always available to assist me during the setup and one of such nice and patient agents was Ben and Rezel. Ben was able to help me resolve the issues I had synching my invoices from Shopify to QBO. I definitely would recommend QBO to any retailer.

This is working really well for us - all Shopify products and sales pull through to QBO and it's very easy to check for issues and resolve them. Field mapping is full and detailed so that sales show on QBO exactly the way I want them to.
Support is great too - just had an issue to fix, webchat response was almost immediate and the issue was fixed within minutes (thanks @Troy!).

We had an issue where refunds were not being processed from Shopify to Quickbooks. We started a chat with Ben, who explained the QBC synch in detail and demonstrated thorough understanding of the refund synch logic and Shopify order cancelation process. Ben helped resolve the issue and was patient in explaining the way the QBC worked.

Sherwin provided great customer service today.

For the app, I wish QBO allowed undeposited funds to be used for fees so i can match deposits but otherwise this connector is great.

Like everyone says, this app worked, and now it doesn't. I tried to contact customer service, just to be told to contact the app developers. When I tried to find out how to contact the app developers, I reached the same site I was on previously. I can accept a company making mistakes, but I cannot accept a company basically gaslighting its customers (I know that sounds like an exaggeration, but it really isn't). If you don't work with them yet, do yourself a favour and don't start! I'm unfortunately stuck in a position where I need to stay with them until I get up and running with a different service. Don't make a mistake and choose QB Online! I promise you'll regret it.

The app works great! Make sure to NOT create invoice in QBO as well. If you do, add a prefix to it, otherwise the Shopify order will not post to QBO because of duplicate invoice numbers. Easy fix - just something to be conscious of when setting the the API. Thanks Ben!

Nick heard my problem, diagnosed the issue, and solved it within minutes. Pretty sure "Quick Nick" is what his buddies call him. Hope that guy is living his best life working remote in Bali or Costa Rica.

Anyway, the developers continue to evolve and better the app. Premium integration at a low cost which mirrors the quality of higher cost apps that are out there. There's some integration limitations, but it gets the job done.

For the most part I've had a positive experience synching shopify into Quickbooks. There are a few strange moments when products duplicate and I end up having to manually tidy up my products/services list to make sure products map to the correct income categories for accurate reports, and a couple of strange tax mapping issues, but it's all leaps and bounds better than the days when I had to enter all of this info manually from emails into QBO (2013, I don't miss you at all *lol*). Thank you to Lori for providing tech support today making sure I my account was correctly moved to the new QBO Global. Much appreciated! //////

Update Jun 29 2025: I noticed a few shopify orders weren't synched into QBO so I went to the app page to re-initiate, and for whatever reason they still weren't going through. Unexpectedly, Nick appeared in the chat and offered to fix from their end --- problems solved :) thanks so much! Wasn't actually expecting anyone to help at all -- a pleasant surprise :) I've been a OneSaas user for many years; the switch over into Shopify Connector worked out nicely and continues to perform effectively. Thanks!

I've been using this app for at least 5 years. It works simply and effectively, with lots of flexibility to tailor the synchronization options to your needs and accounting set-up. Whenever I've needed support, it's been excellent with very fast turnaround. Dave, Nick and Rods have been particularly responsive and helpful. Highly recommended. Oh - and it's free!

Simple and effective tool for our store. Had some small tweaks that we needed to make when setting up the integration and needed a bit of help. Contacted customer service through the chat and had someone to help right away. Dean was a big help and solved all of our problems very quickly.
