Excellent app for automatically determining if an address is residential or commercial, and offering the appropriate rates with no customer input. Savings from this feature alone will pay for the app. We reported a minor bug that prevented a shipping option from displaying, and the developer responded quickly with a fix. An apparent limitation is that shipping methods cannot be reordered and the default method cannot be changed, but it turns out this is a limitation of the Shopify checkout page, not the Advanced Shipping Rules app. This one's a wise purchase for sure.

Advanced Shipping Rules transformed shipping my own manufactured products, as well my art on Printify products. It was flawless, comprehensive and addressed so many issues that come with some other 3rd party app makers. As beautiful as the app design, it was the customer service that was even better (without exaggeration). This product is indispensable for all items to be shipped domestically or internationally. I needed a solution at checkout to shop different times of shipping because some products will take longer to ship than others. Shopify doesn't let you edit the shipping title when you mix two products in different shipping profiles by default they have the word SHIPPING. Molly from Advanced Shipping Rules was amazing walking through editing my complicated shipping profiles. She understand the app and the way it displays in shopify. I recommend you speak to her because she know all the details of this app. I am very happy with this solution and its helping my conversion. Thanks Molly

Great product and extremely helpful customer service! After using this app on one of our Shopify stores, we added it to our second store when that shipping app wasn't fitting our needs. We have several different shipping fees and blending rules and Brian was responsive and helpful in setting it up for us so that everything works the way we need it to in order for the customer to see the correct shipping charges. I love not having to use a CSV to add new products to the correct shipping group. Very easy to use and Brian was flexible with us so we could set up a plan that worked for our business.

A much improved way to use calculated shipping. I can assign different box sizes to different products and assign how many items can fit into 1 box. This makes calculating shipping many times more accurate than shopify's built in shipping.
Only issue I had was it took a little longer to set up than I expected, and it doesn't hook into shopify's discounted shipping rates so the UPS shipping costs weren't accurate. The page wasn't very clear on that being an issue, but staff helped me work on a solution and I was able to get the rates adjusted fairly accurate. Much more accurate than shopify's built in calculator.

This is a great app. It was able to easily create our somewhat complicated shipping program where we have some products shipping free if over a certain amount and other products subject to a percentage of order value for shipping. And then we also have combinations of those products. So the app handled that with ease. Finally, we have different shipping providers and we ship from Canada to all points in North America.

The service help was fantastic and Brian worked with me on the phone for forty minutes and gave me white glove service. Very pleased and all is working well and my customers have a variety of shipping options. Thanks guys.

In my store I have items i fulfill myself along with items fulfilled by two different fulfillment providers. There were multiple shipping rates for multiple items and I had no way to effectively manage it until installing this app. I can easily create a fulfillment provider shipping rule for every rate needed and now can collect the exact amount needed.

I too was hit by the recent brief outage, and while it cost me some sales the support and service I received from the app developer immediately following the outage won me over. With all things tech there are bound to be some glitches, but this developer went above and beyond to make it right.

I need to echo what others have said about the customer support behind Advanced Shipping Rules. Brian is hands on, proactive and quick. I had about three things I needed to accomplish with a shipping app that I couldn't get done with standard Shopify settings. Brian listened to my needs, understood them immediately, and helped me set up ASR so that it works perfectly.

And that's another matter, not only is customer support better than anything I've experienced with other apps (and yes, Shopify too), ASR actually works great. The developers seem to have thought of every shipping possibility and combination and ASR just gets it done.

I couldn't recommend this app more! Fairly intuitive set up and the most excellent, helpful and prompt customer service. Our stop utilizes this app to set up local ship rates for large, fragile items such as fine art and furniture while maintaining UPS generated rates for small household goods. The app allows you to set up item-specific rules as well as blended cart rules that flex based on what your customer is interested in purchasing. What I love most is that you are able to set up shipping method descriptions where you can describe in some detail what the rate entails for the customer and make sure that they exit the site having a clear, concise understanding of what comes next — eliminating follow up emails and phone calls.
