Merchants highlight the AI agent as a major upgrade that syncs with store data to give accurate, brand‑aligned answers and reduce repetitive support. Many report faster responses, better customer experience, and higher conversions, especially with strong FAQs. They value deep store integration, email follow‑up, and mobile access, plus flexible settings for availability and lead capture. Several note reliable performance, improved notifications, and responsive development.

Very basic, not at all built out.
There's no option to export your chat history to be able to analyze what questions are commonly asked to create your instant answers from that data.
Also - Shopify "Magic" is anything BUT. It's supposed to use AI to generate suggested Instant Answers for your store...but clearly it just scanned our website to come up with them rather than view our chat history and commonly asked questions.
Definitely not well built out. If you need any actual support chat capabilities, you need something else!
Thanks for taking the time to share this. You're right that Inbox doesn't currently offer a way to export chat history, and that's helpful feedback we'll pass along to the team. On Instant Answers: the AI suggestions are meant as a starting point, and you can fully edit, rewrite, or replace any of them in your Inbox settings so they reflect the questions your customers actually ask. If you'd like a hand tailoring them, our team at help.shopify.com/support is glad to help.
LE RISPOSTE SONO BEN STRUTTURATE E IN CASO DI NECESSITA IL MESSAGGIO IENE INITRATO ALLA PERSONA FISICA. MOLTO SODDISFATTA .
the last update is huge mistake Shopify need to fix it ASAP
Thank you for the feedback. From your support conversation, the forced sign-in was the core problem, and we built the option back. Customers can now share their name and email to start a chat, like the previous Inbox, with no login. It is rolling out to all stores now under Sales channels > Inbox > Chat settings > Collect customer details. Choose Require name and email there (the other options are Require customers to sign-in and Allow anonymous chats). One note: this applies to chats with your team. The AI agent still answers anonymous visitors instantly, by design, so customers get help in seconds even while you are offline. We default to sign-in because it confirms the customer owns the email they leave, but the choice is now yours. The chat look and colors are also adjustable now, from the pencil icon next to Inbox on that same page.
Very easy to use, and I love the new AI response feature!
Very useful app.
Very Very good so far! Saving me time already.
This is BAD. The update added images I can't control.
Hi there. You can remove the product images shown when chat first opens in your theme editor: App embeds → Online store chat → turn off “Show featured products.” You can use the same setting to "Select" specific products you'd like to show.
its good, only problem is you cant copy/past images and links....very annoying when trying te help a customer
Glad Inbox is working well for you overall. I can see how not being able to copy and paste images and links slows you down mid-conversation. For sharing images, the attachment/upload option in the message bar is often a quicker route than pasting, and links can be sent as typed-out text. Your feedback on making copy and paste smoother is genuinely useful and helps us keep improving Inbox for you and your customers.
optimal
Working good for me
