Printful: Print on Demand

Amazing app once you figure it out. I was a little skeptical so I ordered a few before I launched merch. Now my website is flooded with merch!!!

It's taken just a bit of time to understand the data that synchs in which direction (from Printful to Shopify and visa versa) and which things are best to NOT edit in Shopify. But it's a user issue, not an interface issue. The interface is great. And I'm learning!

I did a lot of research on which print on demand website to use and which ecommerce website to use, so far, I am very happy with my choice to use Printful and Shopify together. Ecommerce really isn't my background so it has been a learning curve, but they have integrated really nicely and I am very happy with my choice.

Printful is user friendly, easy to order and fast with delivery. I love the constant trainings for newbies like myself. They keep you informed on any upgrades to the process and the pricing. Printful is definitely in business with you - 100%.

The app is super buggy and extremely slow. Mockup are generated with the wrong embroidery colors. No matter what I do they don't update. The process to create products and publish is time consuming. They introduce new products then quickly discontinue them.

Inspite of being able to desingn some clothes, it is limited on the style and the Black models I would like to represent with the rest of the lady models most of them are being treated like she have no class. I would like black women models whether they are petitie or plus size to have better selection of close that look presentible and professional like every other lady. My suppoerters are making comments about some of the black women and how sloppy she looks and her face is beautiful. I want to have where your clothes can sell, my art can sell but my sisters have to be treated better than that. fix that and you can get a 5 star

No response from customer service on an embroidery issue for a week on a $540 order my client has already paid for. All case materials submitted according to instructions. Can't get a reply. "Norah C." "Jesse G." "Rita C." Unacceptable. This is exactly what you don't want to happen when dealing with a print on demand vedor like Printful or Printify. No help, no recourse, no customer service if you have a problem.

So far the app has been easy to navigate and add products from Printful to my Shopify store. I am in the process of adding all my previous products since switching from the previous pod company I was working with.

This app is not as user friendly as other options available. It often crashes (error 500 Serverside Error). Trying to add inside neck labels is a ridiculously difficult task. You have to pay for the option so not really sure why it is that hard to utilise.

The options in materials and branded products are handy but very very very expensive. Just use Vista Print. It is cheaper when using branded items (Addis, Under Armour). The options would be far more useful IF the Printful Shopify app worked correctly. Again, the errors are serverside, nothing to do with Shopify at all.

My suggestion is to use Printify and try to find Canadian providers. It will be more expensive but it actually works, neck labeling is free and much easier to use.

I have run into some syncing issues after continuing on with one product for testing.

I found out that they don't ship from Canada at all. They ship from Europe to North American customers. This will drive your shipping costs through the roof, dealing with all the different providers becomes increasingly difficult as there are several different time zones etc.

There is NO option to have their system ship from a provider of your choice.

The only options I like are the products you choose to print on. Other than that I would give this app a -10000000.

It really isn't useful for a productive online shop.

I have found the process of building my store on Printful to be a simple process. At the start it took some brain power to get everything up and running but thanks to the easy integration of Printful with Shopify and onwards to sales channels, it has taken diligence but the processes were easy to negotiate. It's still all a learning curve and I have a lot to learn but ease of use has contributed to where I am today with my online store.
