Printful: Print on Demand

Products are good quality and I like Printful much better than Printify. Support is responsive and usually helpful. Its easy to resolve issues within the order process due to good customer support.

**HOWEVER**, if you are a legitimate business with a tax ID/resale license, there are a few additional, IMPERITIVE, steps that Printful does not prompt you to set up, or inform you about before you set up orders on your store.

First being tax exemption, they will charge you additional sales tax (in addition to shopify charging the customer sales tax) unless you submit your resale cert and have it approved PRIOR to the order. Otherwise you will be charged sales tax twice or more without any notification that the shopify payment does not cover your cost. This is also not mentioned in the pricing section where you set your prices. Making it very easy to lose money with Printful unless you pore over every setting before implementing it.

Second being shipping charges. The live rate for shipping is not charged unless you do BOTH of the following; have shopify PLUS, AND set shipping section to live rates in the printful backend. Again, there is no notification that the shopify shipping fee does not cover your shipping cost. This is also not mentioned in the pricing section where you set your prices. Making it very easy to lose money with Printful unless you pore over every setting before implementing it.

Both of these things should be included in the onboarding process, and neither are. Due to these issues, we have overpayed for a staff order by quite a bit, and Printful was not interested in reimbursing us (even as a one-time courtesy) for this issue that resulted due to their poor onboarding process.

I like the convenience of prihtful, but I printed some shirt and the ink ran off and started to peel, some of the shirts lost their color also. I charge 30.00 for the shirts and need better quality, is there a way to make the shirts last a little longer than less than a year?

I'm loving it so far. Everything has been wonderful quality. The prices are bit high so my margins are very low, but I am an e-bike shop and sell merch on the side, so the margins aren't as important right now. I love the ease of ordering.

I've been using the Printful app for about a month now and I've been impressed with the ease of use and how well integrated everything is. It's also really easy for me to upload new designs, get them onto products, and on my Shopify site with minimal effort. 5 stars across the board!

I genuinely impressed on how good Printful is. They make everything so easy, the integration with Shopify, the product syncs, the support. It's easy to create mockups and templates. I hope they continue to add expand their product catalog, and add more OTTO HATS!! I 100% recommend to any business owners 10/10!

It syncs and works much better than the other pod apps. I'm using 3 pod apps on one website to get the range of products I want, and printify had an awful time with errors caused by having multiple pod apps used simultaneously. Took about 20 hours of troubleshooting to fix. Gooten worked very well, and so did Printify once I figured out how to sync fulfillment.

Printful is hands down one of the best print-on-demand services out there. The print quality is sharp, colors are vibrant, and materials hold up over time. Integration with my store was effortless, and their fulfillment is fast and reliable. I also love the variety of products and customization options. Customer service has been helpful whenever needed. If you’re looking for a hassle-free, high-quality POD partner, Printful is the way to go.

Awful print jobs, long ship time and no customer service. They also have a very antiquated app where you cannot populate your images to multiple products, you have to do it manually one by one. If you hit "back" it will take you completely out of the app and you will have to start over again and again. They also don't even offer photographic prints or basic print products. But...I digress, this review is not about that....

This review is about quality. Quality is so important for customers and it Printful's quality is aboslutely AWFUL.

On February 25th I ordered two 24x36 prints. I uploaded two images to be printed through Printful. I sent these two prints through with the Printful recommended color profile of sRGB IEC61966-2.1 to ensure colors were true in my proofing viewer compared to expected print results. However, instead of printing closely to the colors provided, when the prints were finally delivered on March 6, both printed nothing like the images submitted. They are dark, muted and cool in tone compared to the print file especially in areas of green/yellow and shadows were darker as well SEE BELOW. I immediately notified Printful via their report a problem feature on March 6 attaching images of the original file and the resulting print. I followed up 24 hours later. On March 7 Printful replied, stating he saw the issue, confirmed I submitted them correctly and would see what the graphics team recommended. I waited two days and they did not follow up although I did inform them this was a time sensitive matter especially given how long it took them to send the original prints, especially when we have customers waiting. I followed up on March 9. I was ignored. I followed up again on March 11 and I was ignored. I followed up again on March 12 and asked for a refund. I was ignored. I filed a complaint with the Attorney General and sent that to them on March 13 and asked for a refund. I was ignored.

This company offers PRINTS--most of the time we never see what our customer gets. In this case, I did....and it's absolutely AWFUL. PRINTFUL AGREED. Then they just decided to NEVER RESPOND TO ME AGAIN and KEEP MY MONEY. Ignoring the impact that it had on me and my business. Disgusting. They falsely advertised a product, provided specific printing requirements for that product, failed to deliver the product as ordered, acknowledged they erred, ignored me for days and refused to refund the product.

Do not use PRINTFUL unless you want awful prints, upset customers and no way to fix the problem because there will be no customer service.

The turnaround for products is very fast, tho I wish the shipping was cheaper. And the website could be more intuitive. But the products I have gotten all always top rate and my customers love them.

I found this app to be quite difficult to navigate and not user-friendly. The interface is confusing, and simple tasks like uploading designs or customizing products take more time than they should. It lacks clear instructions, making the process frustrating for new users.

While the product options are decent, the overall experience feels clunky and inefficient. Improvements in design and usability would make a big difference.
